Well, when I was 8 yrs old I was able to ride an airplane and I find it so nice and comfortable and so fast...It will take an hour to get into another City...But after that...no more. It's really expensive and when we travel we prefer boats cause it's a bit cheaper then...
How about you?

Hi butterfly39! :) You're right - taking a plane is much more convenient than taking a boat. However, convenience seems to be associated with cost. hehe
Hmmm... When I was 10 years old, I remembered we had a field trip in our airport here. We rode on the airplane. I really thought we will be flying! I even put the seatbelt on. *hehe* But we just sit, no flying thingy. *hehe*
I had my first plane ride 2 years ago - when we went to Davao City for our yearbook publication. First, the plane went to Cebu and we had a connecting flight to Davao City. Most of the time, however, when I go to Manila, I travel by boat. I had never tried going on airplane on my way there.
It's really awesome to be above and see the clouds!!! They are like cottons in a blue blue blue sky! :) Weheeee! You'll also be able to see the vast of wide blue oceans. You'll truly smile at the beauty of nature and God-given gifts to mankind. :)
*hehe* Just being appreciative.
Take care and God bless! \(",)_

I rode on an airplane when I was 5 years old. That time my parents were flying to the U.S. because my father is furthering his studies in his Masters Degree. I didn't know I have an allergy to long distance traveling. Lol. The whole time I vomit inside the plane and wasn't able to enjoy the trip. Luckily when we stopped at another airport to change flights, my body was able to adapt to the pressure of the airplane and I didn't vomit anymore.

I ridden on a plane several times. My first trip was to California when I was in high school. Then for my graduation present I got a plane ticket to Hawaii. Now that was a nice gift! I've also flown to Arizona to see my dad. And to Florida to see my mom.

I've been on planes several times. Flown across the country 3 or 4 times alone. It's easier to travel that way when your friends and family are spread out all over the country. If money wasn't an issue, I'd probably take the time and drive or take a train most places. Not that I don't like flying, I just wish that I had the time and money to be more leisurely. Take a week to get there, spend a week and take a week to get back, kinda thing.

I ride airplanes 2-3 times a year. I love travelling abroad since I was kid. and now my husband goes here and there so I accompany him. Sometimes I hate flying, especially now that I'll have to fly 30 hours more (with several transits)!

During my holidays to Reunion Island last year I was taken in a Cessna two seater airplane for a ride above an erupting volcano and over the beautiful forests and beach by my brother in law who is a flight instructor over there. He allowed me to handle the joystick to turn left and right and while landing to loose altitude gradually. That was the only time I can say I felt like best pilot in the world.

Yes- people fly on planes all the time here in the states- I have only flown once also- My choice- I didn't care for it- Too dangerous for me- I prefer to take my car on vacations- I might fly again in September to see my brother. He is coming home for 2 weeks from Iraq- He lives in Kansas- too long to drive for a short trip.

.....It was really memorable because the first time I ride a plane was totally free, back and forth from Tacloban City to Manila. I feel so blessed to have boarded a plane for free..that was almost sixteen years ago.. since then I find it amazing everytime I took a plane in going to Manila from my province... I wish to try the plane for overseas trip.. Crossing my fingers always! :)

I rode on a plane twice as it was a round trip. I was about 7 years old and my family (grandmother, mother, and sister) planned to go to Disneyland and I asked about going by plane. My mother was against it as she hates to fly LOL, but my grandmother somehow convinced her and we went. :P I don't remember much about the experience except that I loved watching the clouds go by so close that they looked like big marsh mellows and that my ears popped so bad on the trip back that it made me cry. I haven't been on a plane since. LOL

I have always been okay with airplanes, but I think that today people have growing anxiety about riding on airplanes. Since 9-11, America has just not been the same.
BUT I am afriad of turbulance. When turbulance hits, I close my eyes and try to think of joyful memories.. AKA go to my happy place =)

No, I don't think I would like flying what so ever.I have thus avoided it this far in my life, I have taken cars, buses and trains to get to wherever, but if my gf wants me to go somewhere on one, I'll probably buckle.lol.As long as I'm with her, it's all good.

I used to go on a plane every year to go and visit my dad when I was a kid, which was a good because it only took a couple of hours. Then he didn't want to pay for plane tickets anymore even though he could afford it and I had to go by bus every year which took over 24 hours. I loved going on the plane though, not just because it was quicker, but it was more exciting.

Yes I think it was last march 2002 when I went to cebu back to manila with my friends. It was my first time to ride in an airplaine and I feel excited about the feelings. And I a little nervous too coz I traveled alone, my friends took ship and I'm the only one who traveled airplained coz it is the graduation of my youngest kid and I have to be in Manila as soon as I can.

no i never did and i don't think i will do this ever cause i am very afraid of as i saw so many airplane accidents happened.i won't ever have the courage to fly with a plane and even with a ship or a boat will be too dangerous for me to do it.anyway since i was pregnant i get a frightness of high so i am very cobard now.shame too me,isn't it?
i guess if i had to go in usa for exemple i would refuse cause i'm too afraid to go either with plane or ship.so...

the first time i ride on an airplane i was so scared what if something will happen like what i've seen on the movies. but when the plane go up higher i enjoy watching the small house and the city until i've seen only the clouds it's like heaven is within your reach. now i'd like to ride on plane but it's just very expensive to ride on it.
