Which way is the right way for the toilet paper to come off the roll?

Due to my current circumstances I am temporarily living with my mom ....She is a left handed person and she refills the empty roll of toilet paper with the paper coming out from the back and I have to grab the toilet paper from under neath the flow of the roll. LOL!
Now as for me I am right handed and have always refilled an empty roll of toilet paper with the paper coming up over the roll and hanging out in front so its easy to grasp.
I know this may sound petty to most of you but for me I am use to the paper going up and over the roll as it is easier to see and grasp.
Who knows maybe I am bored...
Maybe I just miss starting discussions here on mylot
or maybe I just need to teach my mom the proper etiquette or hanging toilet paper???? LOL!
Any way my question is for you?
which way do you place your toilet paper? Does it really matter to you which way it hangs?
Over the roll or under the roll? AND why?

I have heard this argument many, many times. I have yet to hear anyone who agrees with me. My stance is IT DOESN'T MATTER. I don't really care which way the toilet paper is coming off the roll. I'm just happy it's there and I don't have to yell to someone to get me some because it's run out and no one bothered to bring more into the bathroom.
Honestly, it really doesn't matter which way it comes of the roll. It just doesn't matter.

WOW must be nice to be able to afford a print on your toilet paper!
LOL! I have been buying plain white for years just to save a few cents. But I know where you are coming from about the pretty print.
I buy plain TP but when it comes to paper towels now thats a different story. I HAVE to get a pretty print on those. Thanks Calais!

This is more of a matter of the way it rolls off the tube not if one is right handed or left handed I think. HAHAHA! Now whom sounds bored huh? Anyhow I am always changing the roll as I prefer it to roll off from the top not the back of the tube. Mostly for my fathers well being and ease of getting at the paer this way. I always make sure when I change the roll that the paper rolls from the top of the tube. It's always my wife than hangs it otherwise. But she says she doesn't pay attention to how it rolls off she just changes it. I've come across a new roll on MY way so I know she doesn't seem to care one way or another. HAHAHA!1

I think it is safe to say you are bored.....very. LOL!
I doubt you will ever find the answer to this in an Etiquette magazine. Mostly because they aren't as bored as you or they just didn’t think of it. LOL!
My personal feeling about this would be if it is close to the camode it must be hanging right. Hanging down, hanging up or sitting on it's side I think you will find it serves the same purpose. And, no doubt, you and your mom will be the only one’s to ever know the difference.
I guess I must be bored also.....I actually answered this. LOL!

To be completely honest, I have never noticed this. I always just replace the roll whatever way it lands, so to speak. I guess it would be a bit easier if I always had it one way.

I tend to have the roll with the paper rolling out from underneath. Don't know why but that is the way i tend to have it although I don't mind it if the paper comes out from over the top. Although I do know of a few people who are very paranoid and just can't stand to have toilet paper rolling from over the top. In fact whenever they come over my house, I find that the toilet paper always gets fixed up, so I'm guessing that they can't stand it and just have to fix it in my house in order to have piece of mind.

In our house I put the toilet paper on the roll one way, and my daughter puts it on another way. I put on over , and she puts it under. I rather it be over so I can find the end of the paper. I have mentioned it to her , and she tells me I nit pick to much.

In my opinion the toilet paper should always come out the front. I never thought of it as being a right handed/left handed thing.
I just really hate it being behind. I just think it looks weird and comes out weird. I think it looks and comes out much much better when it comes out the front!

I don't think there is a right way or wrong way. I guess it just depends on your preference. I prefer the paper coming up over the roll. I'm somewhat annoyed when I have to grab the paper from underneath, and I will reposition the roll if there is no problem in doing so.
