Etiquette Advice Please!

O wow,My sister use to have the same problem.we would go out an eat an i use to laugh at her,cause she had big,big, boobs.But ater a while she got use to doing what i told her to do at the table.Sit up straight an push your shoulder back an sit away from the table a few inches.That way your boobs are straight an can catch any crumbs that may fall.{just kidding}.seriously, there not a whole lot you can do unless you go to restaurants who has tables that fits your needs.If it was me lay them on the table or whatever.I would do whatever was comfortable for me.

It depends on the restaurant whether I plop mine on the table or not. Also it depends on my bra. If my girls are in need of some relief, propping them up can be quite nice, LOL. I have the same issue, at 5’3 and packing around triple Ds, you bet I want a booster seat, however they don’t make them in my size :o(

lol I thought I was the only one with that problem pal , I just sit back a wee bit so they don't hit the table , Are you like mettoo pal that If you are eating there is always something drops on your boobs and it is usually a new white top , Sisters lol xxxx

well you could always get a boob reduction.....*long pause complete w/cheeky grin* JUST KIDDING!! Seriously I would just sit however is most comfortable for you really...just remember to not accidently put your boobs into/on your plate thats all and move them out of the way when you are being served ;-)....Seriously though just sit comfortably..or maybe try sitting/leaning back for example it would be comfortable AND keep the girls off/away from the table....

Guess ya better work for a booster chair sort of hard getting a plate to you with boobs on table hugs

I have the same problem as you, most the time though, as uncomfortable as it is, I sit sort of slouched over so they go under the table. But I have been known to have days that I just don't care, and let them rest on the table. That is why I wish there was a way to make one's self taller..lol

Luckily I don't have this problem at all, and I don't think I've ever noticed this with anyone else, perhaps I'm just unobservant. It must be difficult for you to go about - one solution why not just go to a drive through and eat in the car, that way you'll not have to worry about where they go. I can just picture you carrying a couple of phone books around with you every where you go, just in case you go for a meal.

I hope you don't mind that I really laughed when I read this!! These booths obviously aren't designed for a variety of figues. I guess the polite thing to do is to place your boobs underneath the table. But is that comfortable? It is going to allow you to eat comfortably? If not, then your boobs can go on top, & it's just too bad if people don't like this!!

Sit up straight...no slouching...lean back if you have to. Can you sling them back over your shoulders? Probably not. Forget I said that.

Is the placement of boobs at the dinner table taught in Etiquette classes? I, personally, don't think I have ever ran across this issue and I do have a chest... So I don't know. Now I"m going to have to go to a restaurant, sit in a booth and think about where my boobs on. I'd just go with whatever is more comfortable or tell them that you would prefer to sit at a table.

I have the same problem and all along I thought it was just me! I'm big on top and short too and sometimes I look down and there they are just resting on the table. It's really embarassing when I'm at work and I look down and they're on the conference room table like a big old slab of meat and I didn't even realize it.

unless ur boobs are on the menu, they need to go underneath the table, now date scenario u may choose to put them on top, but even then, it is a lil awkward, my girlfriend had DD and is 5'4" (in shoes) and she simply leans back from the table so that the boobs are not on display when the server comes around, when its just she and I, they are on the table... hope this helps!

i curl one of my legs up under me and sit on it to boobs are not the problem...try it ok!!

Well I am not sure there is any etiquette regarding boob placement....I have never had a situation like that since when I sit at a table they are usually above board so to speak. Since I know of no actual etiquette I guess my best advise would be to do what is most comfortable for you.

No part of the body should go on the table. That's the main rule.

As a few above me have pointed out, the etiquette question itself is a simple one: no part of your body should rest on the table and you should be sitting up straight and away from the edge of the table. Of course, you probably already knew that. I think the real answer to your dilemma is to avoid booths and only sit at tables with proper chairs.
