I have stopped praying~~~~~~~~~

Yes it's true I have stopped praying for specific things, and I just ask the good lord to work his magic in my life. Like with my job I work at a primary school and I was told that I was going to be sent to another school working with someone who could test even the best Christian. I would just simply say God please you know what I want and what I need so I give this to you please work on it for me. Whatever the out come I will know that it is your will. I prayed all summer. I didn't worry about it I just gave it to God. People who say God doesn't answer prayers" Well I just dont get them.
Here are the three things I really wanted. I wanted to stay at my current school, I wanted the morning position, and I wanted to be a fill in person if people were sick. My boss called me the other day and I got all 3 wishes. Apparently one lady applied for the job. ANd they hired her. She said she's a perky older lady. I said oh wow I have been praying all summer and God sent me a perky old lady. More hours would really help out my family. I am just feeling so touched knowing the lords hand is in my life!

It's hard for many of us to believe, but the Lord really knows what's best for us, if we can just trust. I think you did the right thing.

I have had many jobs and I seem to ask for things and when I get them, it's not really what I wanted.
Praying for the best is probably better. Take care

my friend congratulations you are growing in the lord we need to stop thiking of God as santa in the sky and like a child keep asking him for stuff and realise he is our heavenly father who wants only the best for us and he aLWays has out best interests at heart he know sometimes what we want is not always what we need so as i said you are grownig in this when you know this !

I keep a gratitude journal and I first write about what I am grateful for and I thank God for all my blessings. I do ask for specific things, but if things don't work out the way I want them to, I know that it's because God has another plan for me and usually a better path to take. I also ask God to surround me and my loved ones with a white light each and every day.

I believe in a higher power, but I rarely pray to it. To me, prayer can be anything. Just saying God or mentioning God can be a prayer.

Yes, God does answer our prayers and He always knows what is best for us. We have to give all our worries and cares to Him. He loves us and He takes very good care of us. We just need to trust in Him!

Hi, its nice to read your review and glad to learn that you are believening more in him now. But why have you stopped praying, maybe i guess you were praying for something or praying to get some works done and wishes fullfilled and now that nearly all your wishes were fullfilled, you feel let God do whatever he pleases and you have now started believing more in his powers? IS that so, well yes thats another way of seeing things. But yes, i for one would keep praying and wanting to thank go also for his small mercies he bestows upon us, every second. There is so much to thank for, and so little time. I am happy for you though. :)
