First of all, where do they come up with these names. It seems like every Sony console has to have a P at the beginning. I recently stumbled upon a news that Sony is launching a new version of the PSP on Sep. 10, 2007.
It will be available in Europe, Japan, and North America.
The features are simple:
Lighter by 33% than the Original
Can last longer in BATTERY TERMS by 20%
It can connect to your TV for Bigger screen gaming
It is also more stylish.
When I bought my PS2 in 2004 I was happy because everyone else has one, however Sony keeps on developing demands and brand loyalty that most people just don't think for themselves.
Right now that PS3 is out, I will not buy mainly because I have the money but merely looking at the developments I will simply wait FOR MY PS10.
OR better yet Virtual REALITY.
So I guess I'll be buying the New PSP.

I've heard about that but I didn't know if it was really true. I had the psp but i had to sell it to get some money. but i think i'm going to buy this new one it sounds really cool. do you know how much it's going to cost? or is it going to be the same as the psp.

I've heard of the updated PSP, but hadn't heard of the name "The PSi" I've heard they were just going keep the PSP name. There have been posts of what is being expected and how it will change from the old PSP. The main change is that it will be thinner and lighter in weight. I've also heard more wireless connectivity is going to be included but not sure what that mean as far as bluetooth of other types of wireless beyond basic WiFi.
I have wanted a PSP since it first came in but for the audio and video and the portable WiFi. I don't play a lot of games, and would use it like a media player and web browser more then the game machine, so even though I would love to get it I won't because I already have a pocket pc that does what I need. If there is more memory besides the memory cards, I might consider the new PSP.
I will wait in any case until I see the actual release and the specs on the new system.
