I seem to recall vinegar being hailed as a wonder weight loss aid a few years ago. Did anyone try this? Which kind of vinegar do you use, white or apple cider? How much are you supposed to drink and how many times a day? I put a tablespoon of Apple Cider Vinegar in my quart bottle with two packets of strong flavored crystal light. It isn't too bad. Do you think you are supposed to drink it straight or is diluted ok?

I have never heard of this- ever- I can’t imagine drinking vinegar helps you lose weight- how would it? But I guess it could- Vinegar tastes so bad so you would have to dilute it- I wonder what is does to make you lose weight?

Maybe upsets your stomach so you don't want to eat? or the bad flavor in your mouth makes you not feel like eating.

There are a number of books for sale about how wonderful vinegar is, and is a cure for a lot of common ailments. My problem is that I work in a lab and a number of years ago I had exposure to concentrated acetic acid (it gets diluted down to make vinegar), and don't like to use it any more.

Apple cider vinegar is hailed by some as being very beneficial to your health. But the vinegar that you but at the grocery store is distilled. That is the mother is remove because people don’t like to see things floating in it. But the mother is what make the apple cider vinegar work. Raw honey mixed with it makes it even better. It is recommended that you take the Apple Cider Vinegar diluted with water or juice. Because Apple Cider Vinegar acts like a sponge, drawing toxins from the body tissues, it may cause you discomfort if you choose to digest the vinegar using spoonfuls only. Honey is recommended because it has proven bioactive properties and contains the vitamins and enzymes necessary for the proper digestion and metabolism. It does add health benefits to the ACV cocktail, but fortunately the ACV has plenty of health uses and benefits without the honey. This is some things that I have gathered about apple cider vinegar. It is supposed to increase your metabolism. For my self I need to get started using it. I’m going to mix up some with the raw honey and keep it in my fridge ready to use. I get my apple cider vinegar and raw honey at the health food store. It is more expensive but that is the only place I know to get it. http://www.bragg.com/FAQ/faq_applecider.html#acv_faq4

A friend of ours is well over 60 years and has been taking a shot-glass full of the apple cider kind everyday for years. I've never heard of him ever being sick and his weight is perfect for the age. My husband and I have thought about trying it as well but haven't as of yet. I'll have to talk to him more about it when I get the chance. We both need to shed some pounds, etc.

There is a tablet that you can get at Wal-Mart that also has an eating guide in it. My friend lost 30 lbs on it. If you drink the vinegar, use Apple Cider Vinegar and get it down any way you can.

I have done this sporadically, both for weight loss and general digestive health. It should be apple cider vinegar and organic is best. I either mix mine with cranberry juice or try to shoot it straight. My husband gave me that idea. He pours some into one of the measuring cups that comes with kids tylenol etc and tosses it back like a shot of whiskey or something. When I get into the habit of doing it I do pretty well but it's easy to get out of it. In fact, it's been quite a while since I have done it and now I am thinking that maybe I need to try again.
