Amazon.com Still Supports Animal Fighting!

I just received my weekly email from the Humane Society, and it's feature article, quite frankly, disgusts me to no end! The popular online product selling site, Amazon, is still in favor of animal fighting.
To quote: **It's the only online retailer of subscriptions to animal fighting magazines in the United States, and these magazines advertise the sale of fighting animals and cockfighting weapons -- sales made illegal by federal law! The Feathered Warrior even advertised fighting dogs from a dogfighter whose operation makes the enterprise described in the Michael Vick indictment look like a bunch of amateurs.**
Here is the link so that you can read the entire story for yourselves: http://www.hsus.org/acf/news/amazoncom_under_fire.html
And, if you're like me and are disgusted enough to sign the letter from the Humane society to Amazon, here is the link for that as well:

Even if you don't want to sign the letter, please at least read the article and be informed. Thank you all. Hugs!

Thanks for the info. I wrote my letter, and I am sending this to all those that I know. I hope we can make a difference. I will never buy from Amazon.com again, unless they change this. Animal fighting is the most disgusting sport, ever , and I won't do anything, to help it's promotion.

I was shocked to read this Katlady...I've been a customer of Amazon.com for many years...and you better believe I sent an e-mail...here's part of what I put in my letter.
..."I've been a customer of yours, Amazon.com for quite awhile and was disgusted to think that you continue to sell such magazines that glorify animal fighting...maybe if many customers of yours realized this and boycotted buying from you then you might realize the seriousness of how customers like myself are against your practice of selling such magazines.."
Maybe we should boycott...no--let them feel it in their pockets!

Don't apologize hon. I'm still catching up myself. I finally had to give in a delete about 400 emails. And I'm still behind! I'll be going back and forth catching up for DAYS! LOL I wouldn't be able to stay friends with someone that supported such awful behavior either. Thanks hon.

Thanks so much for bringing this to our attention. I have never had any dealings with Amazon - now I am glad of that, and will never, EVER have dealings with them now. I despise and abhor any type of animal cruelty, and those who support it are just as bad as the perpetrators in my opinion.

I just sent this to my son and he is going to make sure it gets printed in the college newspaper because a lot of college kids buy their text books from Amazon. Let's see if a big college boycotting it might hurt it's pocket just a little bit. I'm going to send it to my other son in college also, and I'm going to put it on the bulletin board at my community college. I hope others will do the same.

Okay, I wasn't going to read it because I knew it would make me angry..but I did read it and now I am hopping mad...This just pisses me off to no end..How cruel....Why in the world would anyone think that inflicting pain on an animal is something they think is worth watching. I think those blades should be used on the people who do this and see how they like it...These kind of people irritate me to no end....

It pissed me off too hon. I just can't believe that such a huge and popular retailer is still catering to those kinds of heartless idiots! Now, promise me, you won't throw everything around in the pod in anger....especially the breakables!

We must put an end to this inhumane treatment of animals. And we could help by telling these companies who made some profits out it to stop it. And we should never patronize these products which are related to animal fighting. We have the power to vote, to select, to air voices.
And if we are united, we could make a big difference.

I am an affiliate for Amazon and this made me so mad that I took the banners off of my blog. This really makes me sick. What do people get out of this kind of thing? I am going to repost this in an email and send it to my friends and family. Thanks for letting us know about this. :)
