I came on here because I really love different kinds of people- and I hear SO many complaining about this and that...and most ironically complaining about others RESPONSES!! LOL!! Isn't that the point of this, to get OTHER opinions, yet when some get disagreed with they seem to get serious emotional attacks going on. I really don't understand WHY someone would want another's opinion if they are not expecting an HONEST one - or at least one that isn't simply what they want to hear. After all, what good is an opinion if it's just an extension of what we already feel and know. Somebody let ME know, because the more I read- well I am puzzled; but surely am getting some chuckles!

I think the problem is that people consider responses that disagree with their opinions as personal attacks. They cannot see that our opinions are not who we are, they are merely the products of our thinking at the current time. They can change but we are not changed by them.
Too often discussions descend to the level of abuse and insult because people are identifying with their own opinions - if you do not agree with them, you must hate them! How ridiculous is that?
In fact, without disagreement, there can be no discussion. Are we to sit in a big circle, someone says something and we all answer yes, yes, yes. It would be a bit boring, wouldn't it? ;)

I myself don't mind other people's opinion as long as it done in a nice way. Opinions are like behinds, everybody has one, right? Not everybody can agree on everything so that is why we all learn new things every day. Some are true and some are not so true but it's ok. We all live in learn. However, to be out right nasty with one's opinion is just not the way to go. It puts the other person on the defensive and then an arguement insues and no one gets anywhere but a big bad headache and hard feelings.
