facebook vs. orkut........which is the best???

I was on orkut before, but I don't like it anymore, all people do there now is spam. I recently joined facebook but have only added friends from school so I can keep in touch with them, it's more high quality than orkut and not just about spam and getting referrals, plus it's got loads of cool add-ons and things you can do there, so it's definitely much better than orkut.

for me neither one of them , it is up to you how you use them. whatever fits your fancy. some would say the other just because hey are not well acquainted with the other site. It's a matter of preference. like us , filipinos, most of likes friendster for the simple reason there are a lot of our friends are registered in the site.as for me , any social network site is a welcome site since i need them to market my affiliations. I need the network in the business sense .

Well I think facebook is better, but i would pick myspace if it was one of the choices..but yes facebook rather then orkut.

I've only used Facebook. I haven't been to Orkut, so really couldn't tell ya which is the best one at the two or to be using.

I am not the memeber of either of the sites friend, so do not know which is better, but I think orkut is somewhat older as I have heard more about it and facebook is comparatively new.Good luck to you if you have joined or going to join any.

I've never heard of orkut. I'll go there now and look around. Facebook used to be great. It was just for college students, it was an easy way to stay connected to your classmates. NOW, it is open to anyone and everyone. I believe it is becoming to much like myspace. Next there are going to be 5-year-olds on there. I think leaving it to college and maybe for people right out of college too, would have been better. Now we might as well be on myspace. I deleted my myspace because I didn't like it. Facebook is coming to a quick end in my life as well.

I also think myspace is better (if I had the option). Myspace is so much easier to use, & you can still search for all your old hs buddies. But I currently use facebook (never had tried the other one). Although, I use facebook only because at the time only college kids could have a facebook. & now, anyone can have one.
