a lot of peole takes medicines as a treatment or prophylaxis for different diseases but who do you think is the best or the more practical person to ask more about the information of your medicines. is it the pharmacist or your usual doctor ?? this idea is essential form me because i am trying to make a survey based on practicality and what people really do if they ask or talk more about their medicines. is the pharmacist or the doctor the right person?

When come to diagnosis of certain sickness I must seek the doctor to have his examination and advice. Whereas looking for medicines for a particular disease I could approach the pharmacist as his knows more about the different types of medicines related. Anyway it is the best and the safest way is to follow the advice of physician and not simply buying any medicines from else where. Normally I go to the pharmacy to buy those medicines which are prescribed by the doctor.

Pharmacist usually know more than doctors do when it comes to medicine, so I go with the Pharmacist. Lucky for me, I have an older step-brother who is a Pharmacist.

I prefer to ask my doctor because they know my medical history, although I have found the pharmacist to be more informative about the medicines.....

I would prefer to ask the doctor of course. He is more knowledgeable in terms of what to take than the the pharmacist. He is the one who prescribes for the medicine suitable for you. The pharmacist is not authorized to prescribe the medicine. He only do the generics.

I think it is best to speak to the Pharmacist because he is the chemist and knows about the various compound elements in the medicine that is being produced. The Doctor on the other hand was SOLD on the use of a particular medicine by a pharmacutical company that either discovered or created the compound with various research and testing ,that's where the effects of a specific medicinal compound is experimented with in the laboratory.

I think the best or the more practical person to ask more about the information of a medicines in relation to a certain disease is the Doctor. They do give you the right medicine and dosage, its up to you which brand your going to buy. This is where I think the pharmacist can help by giving/suggesting different choices of brands for the same type of medicine, then you decide what to buy base on the price or other aspect.

Honestly...I wouldn't completely rely on either one. My preference would be to get info from both of them to compare and contrast the info that was given to me from each. I have seen too many cases of things going wrong because important info was forgotten, left out or wasn't asked. So I would need to talk to both of them and would want to discuss any treatments with meds in depth before deciding to take it.
