Rainy Day - Do you love/hate going to office on a rainy day?

Here in Mumbai, on a rainy day, the things turn out to be very chaotic.
The roads, the highways and the railway lines get submerged under the water and the trains stop running.
Mumbai, being a huge metropolitan city, people need to travel several kilometers by local trains/buses to reach office from home and vice-versa.
And during rains, the public transport here is thrown out of gear and it becomes very inconvenient to travel within the city.
Hence on a rainy day, I hate going to office, though I have to go to the office.
Do you too hate going to office on a rainy day, or you actually love it?

I do not mind going to work on a rainy day as long as I have an umbrella or rain jacket. Traffic is usually really bad when it rains because people either slow down a lot or there is an accident that delays things here. I do not like the traffic of a rainy day but going to work is not a problem as it gives me something to do and gets me out of bed and am making money.

I'm in the same opinion. There is no point whether that day is rainy or sunny.I think it's qiute funny to walk when it's raining. But when it's raining a lot, because of flood, sometimes you are feeling so depressed that you want to go back home and see the sun again.

I hate driving in the rain period. Sometimes the visibility is not the greatest also we have a lot of people who drives recklessly. When it rains here, there are a lot of accidents so you end up arriving at work late. I love it when it rains to be at home with a good book.

Not just the driving. With us who commutes everyday, we abhor rains during workdays. Specially when you need to dress sharp for an important presentation and you have to carry a lot of things from home. Whew that is really terrifying. The transportation is slow, the traffic, the messy and wet people around. Whew!
But if you're just at home, cozy and doing the things you love most and relaxing. That's the best time for the rain to come, the harder the better! Whew
But oh well, life isn't all we want them to be. It usually rains when you need to be out, and it is usually sunny and warm when you are just at home.

I try not to drive on rainy days. In the past I was making a left turn when everything was clear. A car topped the hill and run a red light. When they seen me turning, they couldn't slow down because of the rain, and hit me totaling my car. People are not as careful as they should be in the rain, there for I try not to drive in it.

Going to work on rainy day doesn't really bother me. Actually, when I think about it, rain is a good excuse to be late at work and I don't really have to wear office clothes but big coats.

Wow—its not that bad here at all on a rainy day- It might get foggy and that’s about it- I prefer it to rain when I’m at work- if that matters- I’d rather the warm sunny weather come after I’m out and can enjoy it- I don’t mind watching the rain from my work window- I know I can’t go out and play so it doesn’t matter to me if it is raining.

I love the rains. But going to office in a rainy day is depend upon the intensity of the rain. It is very dangerous to travel in Bombay on heavy rainy days.
Here in Bangalore we dont have that problem of submerging the highways and railway lines.

Well I'm a work at home person so I don't have that burden of needing to go out to work...but not long ago, we had several heavy rainstorms that shut down our subway system since it got flooded, so I felt sorry for those who did have to travel....but despite the fact that I don't need to go out to work, I still will go out on rainy days, as I always have a lot of errands to do each and everyday...as far as liking it...I really don't mind walking in the rain...it's been so hot here, that it feels refreshing to be honest

We enjoy rainy days a lot. But if the rains do not stop throughout the day and it lashes day and night it really is frustrating. When there are heavy rains here the power is also shut down. So, we do not get to watch either tv or can neither surf the internet. This is really boring. We go to play everyday in the evenings. Its badminton; so indoor. We really can spend time there and come back home at the dinner time. This helps us to get rid or our boredom.

I love rain so it doesn't really bother me much except when I have to walk in it. Where I live most people drive a car to work and can park their cars fairly close to the building so it's not too bad. Just the walking from the car to the building can be bad if it is raining hard and the wind is blowing. I work at home now though so I love it when it's raining and I don't have to go out in it but can look out the window and enjoy it.

Rain or sunshine, one should not avoid going to office. Punctuality is very important and one should start off early on rainy day because there will be traffic hazzles and delay in reaching the office. In big cities like Mumbai it is difficult to go to office due to heavy rains and consequent floods. But in other places it does not affect so much to prevent people going to office.

I hate to go office during rainy days because of the rain water logging and lack of transport facility during the rainy days. Here in chennai too, when it rains slightly the water gets logged everywhere which results in late arrival of buses and trains and sometimes without informations the services will be cancelled.
I can manage 1 -2 days but when it rains continously for 3-5 days i really hate even to step out of my home. Its difficult to carry the raind coats, umbrellas in buses while travelling.one can wear a light coloured clothes in this season.

In the state that I live in whenever it rains people freak out and forget how to drive. So on a highway where the speed limit is normally 55 to 65 mph they all go about 20mph just because of a few little raindrops. It makes me crazy! So I hate driving in the rain only because I hate dealing with other people. I don't have any problem driving in the rain myself and can do it just as easily as driving on a bright sunny clear day, but other people cause traffic jams because of their slow driving and that just bugs me.

I absolutely hate going to the office whenever the weather is moist..like rain, snow or anything like that. I don't like the cold so getting up and going to work in the winter is the hardest task for me. I don't like the rain but I don't like my outfit getting wet, even when I have an umbrella the wind always seems to pick up when I'm outside. Why can't we always have nice 75-80 sunny days. So there probably won't be any dorughts but we can still get outside and keep our grass green.
