Middle aged women

There seems to be a lot of contradictions out there mostly by the health fraternity concerning all the issues and concerns or crises a woman faces once she reaches middle age. One day middle aged women are anorexic, the next they're overweight, then apparently sleep eludes you once you reach middle aged and at other times middle aged women have no energy and are lethargic. Sometimes I often think that researchers find out all the issues middle aged women face to the extent that if you read all this stuff you end up sympathising or even worse becoming what is being written. I am in my 50s and I consider myself middle aged, basically because I know for sure I am no spring chicken and on the other hand I am nowhere ready for the golden age era. Strangely enough it has taken this long for me to think about starting my own work from home business. I am quite excited about that and I suppose like all wanna be entrepenuers finding my feet is taking awhile. I don't think I have had a midlife crisis. Unless denouncing the corporate world, moving from the city to the country and starting my own business all in one foul swoop counts as a midlife crisis. Is there anyone else taking a 90 degree turn in their life at a midlife age??
