Do you obsess about anything? What do you obsess over?
I am obsessed with my weight and how my body looks. I used to be very skinny and now that I have gained some weight I am still fairly thin, but I hate my body. I am constantly thinking about how I look, particularly my stomach and thighs. I am constantly thinking about what I am going to eat that day and if I can allow the calories. I am not anorexic, I do eat, actually I do not always stick to my diet. I don't beat myself up over it, either, but I cannot stop thinking about my body anyway. Sometimes I get tired of it, but I can't help it.
Ok that is my story. What about you?

When I was your age I obsessed about my body too. I wish I could have relaxed. I weighed 90 lbs at one point and was still obsessing. Now I obsess about people approving of the things I do and I just hate it. I worry if I have done something to offend someone if they are cool to me. Most of the time I know I haven't so why do I even care.

I guess I obsess about making sure everyone is taken care of. I have two jobs, both involve care taking in one way or another. If I feel a coworker is not doing their share, or doing what they are supposed to in the right way, I kick in to gear and do their work too. I also have a hubby that I feel needs cared for. I like to make sure people have good meals. When I was young it was my body, my clothes, my look. I have a weight problem right now, but I am not willing to trade it for a dietary obsession.

I used to be more obsessive...way more and about almost everything. Zits, hair, boobs, legs , toes, friends...am I saying or doing this good enough, right enough. As I've gotten older, I have somehow managed to prioritize what is and is not really important. Now I have to say that beyond my gut...there is little that gets me all worked up unless it is valid. I save most of my worrying for the bigger things now.

MONEY. I am obsessed with money. I download all our account transactions daily... bank accounts, investment accounts, mortgage, credit cards... I check them every single day. It really is very obsessive! But i always know what's up!

I am the same way. I check my bank accounts at least 10 times a day, even if I haven't bought anything new. I don't know why. I am always updating my budget to see what I should and shouldn't spend. I like to know exactly how much I have at all times!

I know exactly what you mean! I have always been thin also, but I've gained weight over the past year or so, and I have very little time for exercise beyond walking. Having a desk job, it makes it really easy to just be lazy all day long, too.
My fiance keeps trying to tell me that I'm not fat, and I know I'm not fat, but it's frustrating when my jeans don't fit quite right any more and I have a tummy. I really need to just make myself exercise again, but it's difficult!

I guess I obsess over everything. Once I get started on something I'm obsessed with it. If anyone has ever had to refinance there homes knows it's a pain. I'm obsessed at getting the best rate and price out there, that I have called and spoke with so many loan officers it's not even funny. I get obsessed with cleaning, I get going and won't stop until my entire home is spotless. I gave up on my weight, I do everything I can, and will either lose or no weight at all.

My obsession for now are my guitars, I have two at the moment. One an acoustic and the other was an electric, I bought my acoustic just recently. Together with it, I also bought a guitar-stand and an new amp. These are my latest products, I consider them as fruits of my labor here on mylot!;)
But I also have to fix my electric guitar, I have to replace some knots and other parts of it. That is what I am currently obsessed of, I have to restore my electric guitar so it would look new again!;)

Sounds like my boyfriend. He buys at least one new piece of equipment at least once a week. All of his money goes to guitars, amps, pedals, and whatever else... I don't know anything about it, but I know it takes up a lot of space in our apartment!!

To be concerned with one's weight and body is natural. There is nothing wrong with wanting to lose weight and have a great body. However, I feel being obsessed with it does not help one to lose weight and achieve the desired body. In my opinion, it is better to be realistic instead of being obsesssed with just the thought. Hence, I am not obsessed with anything.

No friend. I don't obsess about anything. Infact, I love the way am looking because I don't have too much weight and I consider myself as average. But I think you can help it cos it is very possible, it depends on how serious you are about it. I do make sure I exercise myself everyday in order to main my weight. Thanks

I obsess over the lack of money. I wish I had more the help with our budget. For 15 years I was the sole support of the family. Then my husband went to work for someone else instead of being self employeed. Then two years ago I became disabled. I wish I could still work. I obsess over every penny, but then there are times I splurge and spen money I should not. I just put 50 dollars on my credit card I should not have. I regret it. I also obsess over my ailing health. That is another story I will not get into.

It is good to go on a diet but I don't like to go on a diet. I just allow myself to gain some more weight. When I am heavy enough, I think that I will try to lose some weight by eating less. lol

From the time I was in my teens until my mid-thirties I wondered incessantly where I stood in the eyes of women. Was I appealing? Would they find me attractive? Yep, in retrospect, this was an obsession! Now fully recovered, I could care less where I stand, and mirrors only serve as an aid for shaving, flossing, and combing. Those countless wasteful moments of self-critique are behind me.
Adulthood reached. Been living ever since.

I am usually obsessed about my hair. My hair has the condition of not stable. One day it would be very easy to manage, soft and shiny. I can even admire it when I look at the mirror. The other day it would turn out to be hard, and difficult to manage. My hair even made me look like as if I just got up from bed. It was such a mess. I've tried so many shampoo but haven't been successful to get a constant shine to my hair. This weekend I am thinking of switching shampoo again to Pantene, after using SunSilk for 3 years and not achieving the result I wanted.

I used to be the same way about my body, but nowadays it's mostly me obsessing about money...or lack thereof rather lol. So with that, work would be involved. I work from the house most of the time and usually on my own schedule, depending on certain situations, which leaves me obsessing a bit about working lol. I don't usually follow through with working non-stop, as I sometimes just don't have the energy from it, but it's always in the back of my mind. Nine times out of ten, when I do blow of not using the time to work, I obsess about kicking myself for it haha. Pretty sad.
Anyway, I hear you about the body issue. Used to be the same way myself, but learned to at least accept that part of me. Besides, "skinny" isn't always beautiful, or even as healthy as we think it is. I'd rather go for being in shape and health, being me, than seeing what size I can squeeze myself into. I know that it's sometimes easier said than done though lol. Good luck :)

I use to obsess about my body but i think the media has caused a lot of it.They put those stick thin girls out there on books and air brush them, and on Tv they have makeup artist that polish them up and they look beautiful..No one is perfect,we are all humans with human flaws so as long as i can feel good and not real fat im happy. No one actually sees all these flaws except you.I wear a size 10 and i have been a size 6 and I could still see all kinds of flaws..If that is your picture on your discussions then you are pretty and you are not fat.Just be happy and don't worry. What you see as ugly other people don't see it...But yes i am obsessive about my weight at times and somedays i think im so ugly and people tell me that i am very pretty all the time but i just don't see ME that way...

I am exactly like you. I have always been underweight...a stick to be exact. It seems that my whole life, I tried without success to put on a few pounds. After much effort I did manage to get up to 115 pounds and keep it on. Im 5'7.
In order to keep it on, I had to be constantly aware of my eating and excersice habits. If I lost 5 pounds, I quickly would sink to under 100.
Then a few years ago I was on some medication that caused me to gain weight. Doctor said it would put on maybe 5 lbs which in my case would have been a good thing. What happened was I gained 45 pounds! I have since lost most of it but now its my belly...Its flabby and I no longer look good in the kind of clothes i used to wear. I excercise and i don't know...nothing helps really. I do have trouble sticking to a diet because My diet has always been for the other way around. oh wait..what diet. I am used to just eating whatever I want.
