I guess it will be done in the same fashion as it is done every year. There is a function held in every corner of the country and the Prime Minister of India delivers a speech at the Red Fort :)
How have you been celebrating the Independence Day over the last few years?
My family doesn't have extraordinary celebrations, just watching it on TV is more than enough for us, and the best moment comes when you need to stand for 52 seconds while our National Anthem is being sung! :)

Being an Indian, it is indeed a proud day for all of us. I would like to spend this day by remembering all those hero's who gave their lifes to make us enjoy our present. Then I would like to visit some of the under preveliged of our society who still have not been able to come out of their daily struggles in life. This day would be ideal to double their joy by giving them time and helping them to stand on their own feet. And wish that by the same time next year, they will be in a position to do the same for someone else.

It is indeed a great day for us, especially considering this is our 60th independence day. One way to celebrate this independence day is to go to any orphan school or old age homes and (if you have money) try to give them sweets and if possible lunch, etc and see the smile in their face and smile would be worth it to explain and that is the best way to celebrate it.
