my first vacation by myself was to an island between the United States and Canada, just off the peninsula near Sandusky, Ohio. It goes by two names: Big Bass island and Put-In-Bay. I booked a room at an Inn for singles and traveled by car to catch a ferry across to the island. the ferry had room for cars so I was able to take mine with me. the first night I left my window open and woke up to spider webs all over me and the bed,it was alittle unnerving. I visited the caves, the winery,the cemetery, the monument and then had dinner at a very nice restaurant. the next morning I had to leave because the Inn keeper broke her leg and had to be ferried back to the main land, there was no doctor on the island at that time.
