Yes, pretty much. Sometimes it takes me a block or so to remember, but eventually, I do put it on.
My car had an annoying little bell to remind me to put it on. I liked it because I needed the reminder. I think I must have worn it out cuz it doesn't work anymore!
I think that fact that I have children with me most of the time helps me to be more diligent about making sure that my passengers and I put on our seatbelts. Half the time I ask me kids "do you have your seatbelt on?" then I realize I don't have mine on either.
I try to make sure I check before I start driving but sometimes it takes me a few minutes.

my father taught me to never even start the engine until I was belted into my seat so it is second nature to me to just hook up. While I always wear my seat belt and insist the same of my children - I do not think that it should be a law..

Every time. I even wear seat belts when I'm riding in a taxi, and I notice a lot of people don't.
I've been in some nasty car accidents but I've never been injured because I always wear a seat belt.

I am the one person who always forgets to wear seatbelts. My husband is also forgetful when it comes to wearing seatbelts. You see, we live in a rural area where there are not many cars on the road, and there are never traffic jams here even when it is time where everybody is on the way to work. The distance from my husband's office to our home is only a six minute drive and that contributes to our carelessness in wearing seatbelt when we are driving just around here.
However, if we go downtown we will make sure that we wear seatbelts because we know it is for our own safety.

seatbelts are made to save lives of the passengers. one should always wear a seatbelt whenever they ride in their cars. but of course sometimes, as we are in a hurry, we tend to forgot, wearing it. :-)

It is the law here in Australia to use seat belts, I know I fought that law when it first came out but I have since changed my mind, it is much safer to use seat belts as far as head injuries and such are concerned in fact today I don't feel comfortable with out them.

Of course, that's safety, some people don't even bother as you said.. because some people think 'Oh... that will never happen with me...' but then someday the destiny throw the cards and that's it... Seat belts can save you, and there are laws that say you need to use it, whoever that doesn't uses is only putting himself in danger.

It depends if we go on a long road trip I usually where my seatbelt but if we just drive for like 5 to 10 min then I usally wont where my seatbelt. I know its important to where a seat belt because you can save your life but a lot of times it just feels uncomfortible for me to where because im a big guy and sometimes its hard to put on which is why I dont where it on short trips even though I should where them.

Yes, I do. I would be afraid I'd get a ticket, and I can't afford to pay it. I think it's kind of uncomfortable, and all, but it's against the law, if you don't wear it, so I do. If it weren't illegal, I don't think I'd wear it. I never used to before the law came about.

We always use our seatbelts. My grandsons have booster seats and they are strapped in them as well. Everyone riding in our van has to have a seatbelt or we don't go anywhere.

I think there is a Seat Belt law in most Western Industrialized Democracies. I know there is one in most places in the United States and I think someone mentioned there being one in Australia, and I believe most of Europe have Seat Belt laws. I not so sure about other countries, I assume that Canada has one, but I have no proof and I have not looked it up. I just assume they have seat belt laws because they tend to care about their people. I almost always wear my seat belt. I didn't when they first started to institute seat belt laws, but after a while I learned to and when I started ferrying around grandchildren I always put on my seat belt as an example to them when they would get big enough to put on their own seat belts. Now it is just 2nd nature. My sister however, does not use a seat belt. She never uses a seat belt. But I think she never wears a seat belt because she has developed amyloidosis (spelling) and after she developed that she put on a lot of weight and has to use oxygen 24/7 and the seat belt if just too much for her to deal with.

We never, never, never leave the driveway without our seat belts. Even before it was a law that you had to wear one, we were already practicing this. I've seen too many people seriously injured or even killed in auto accidents who might not have been had they been wearing their seat belts. My husband & I have drilled this in our children's heads so much that they will not even go without a seat belt if we are just driving to another area of our property without going on the main road. The one and only time that my 14 year old son forgot his seat belt, I got pulled over. We had only been out on the road for maybe one minute and then he remembered to buckle up. Of course when he remembered there just happened to be a city police in my rear view mirror. Considering the difficult time I had getting out of a huge fine because he forgot and I didn't notice he forgot, I think that memory is burned in his head permanently. I know it is burned in mine.

Yes I always wear my seatbelt rather it will save my life or not I don't know.. I mean look at the bridge thing that happened in Minnesota people were having trouble getting out of them when the cars hit the water.. But wearing a seat belt can save your life but it's not 100% a fact..

You are saying the truth friend. Most people don't like using seat belt. They refuse to know that it was made for our own good. Eventhough I don't have a car (want to school first), but I like seeing drivers using their seat belt. Thanks

I don't like to use the seat belt at all. It makes me feel uncomfortable. But if I sit next to the driver, he usually mentions me of the belt because he will be fined for catching someone in his bus/car who does not use a seat belt. I know that it is not a good habit not to use the seat belt offered to us. I think that it is still better to use it for the sake of our safety and our family.

Yeah I wear my seatbelt. Not always because I want to though. It's illegal to not wear them in Texas and I can't afford a 100.00 ticket for not wearing it.
