Are you a snoop?

Do you snoop when you are at other people's houses? Do you look through their things? When you are in the bathroom do you look in the cupboards? Do you watch your neighbours from your window? Come on. Tell the truth. My daughter is cat sitting for our neighbours. I was voting online for Big Brother and decided to go and use the neighbours' computer to get more votes in. They wouldn't mind me doing that; I've done it before. But they leave all this paperwork all over their desk. I saw their Gas bill, I saw that they are in arrears in their property taxes. I also saw that the male head of household was suspended from a sport, possibly for yelling at a referee. He also has to write a letter of apology. In the past I have also seen that they are way overdrawn on their bank account. No wonder they have so many luxurious things! When I was a teenager and living at home, I walked into my mother's bedroom one day and found her sitting on the edge of her bed reading a magazine. I asked her what she was doing. She was watching the neighbours. The daughter was getting married that day and photographs were being taken at the house beforehand. I guess she wanted to see them leave the house all dressed up. So, do tell, what kind of a snoop are you?

Well to be honest sometimes I do, but it only happens on accident. If something is left out in the open. It's hard not to look. But as far as bathrooms etc. goes. I don't snoop. I belive in respect of a persons privacy. I often wonder when someone is in my bathroom to long. If they are snooping. I will admit I look ou my window all the time. I like to know what is going on around me.

I can be a snoop at times. If I am curious about what someone else has and I am at their house, I might snoop a bit. I try not to do it since it's kind of a bad habit. I used to snoop on my boyfriend's computer and once found a folder full of pictures of his ex girlfriend. Another time I was cleaning his room for him (at his old apartment) and found a notebook he specifically asked me never to read. I did anyway and saw that he wrote something about me like the day after we met and it wasn't even that bad, but I got upset about it. Mostly because he was writing about another girl he liked at the time. Lol it is silly now and I wouldn't act like that again. Surprisingly, he wasn't mad at me.

The only snooping I do is just look around the room I am in. I don't scan for personal stuff and check it out. I respect people's privacy. Too often I have had people come to my home and snoop through my stuff.

I am not as bad as all that. I do look to see what kind of food they have in their pantry, and also in the fridge. I do not go as far as looking through their paperwork, unless it is a drawing done by one of the kids. If, per chance, there is a bill in plain site, I don't even both to look at it. I usually put it to one side and tell them, not that they owe an arm and a leg, but that they left the gas bill or what it is on top of the desk where anyone could see them. I do peek out of the window to see what's going on and whenever we hear a car driving, we're looking to see who it is.

I looked at my neighbour's gas bill last night and it confused me. Right now, being summer, the only gas we are using is to heat the hot water. So how come their bill was like $50 and ours is $168. Then I came home and looked at our other bills. We're on equal billing. We pay the same amount all year round! Interesting to know that if we weren't on equal billing we'd only be paying $50 right now, but then in the winter we'd be paying probably $300!

I keep my curtains drawn so no one can see inside & that means I can't see out. I don't think I've ever been in any of my neighbors houses, its just not that kind of neighborhood. We'll talk outside, but we're not friendly enough to go in. I used to sometimes go over to take care of a friend's diabetic cat - give her shots sometimes & while I was there I would pick up trash! I swear that she left dirty dishs & stuff all over. I'm not a neatnik, but I'm always on about the dirty dishs on the floor & desk with the roomie - at LEAST put the darn things in the sink! I'd also find some of her diabetic supplies lying around. I often had to clean around to find where she put the unused needles - she was pretty good about putting the used needles in an old juice or other container. I didn't look at her paperwork tho, because she never left that stuff out - but I wouldn't've anyway.

I dog sit and if something is laying out I guess I look. I also am an obvous snoop - like being here on mylot, I love finding out about people - I ask these questions in real life! I'm curious about where my husband surfs to - I ask him to e-mail interesting sites but he never does. So I check his history and go look at all the interesting news sites he goes to - mostly conspiracy stuff. He also goes to great sites for things like dome homes and such. He seems to find really great sites.

No I don't snoop in that sense.I don't care about that sort of stuff. I think I would be under certain circumstances though. Like if the police were at a neighbor's house I would be curious but generally I don't take notice of things.

I will only snoop if it is left out in the open, going though cabinets and such is not my thing. If you know someone is going to be in your house put the stuff away.

haha that is one of the reasons why I always put away papers and bills etc when visitors come over. My neighbor likes to snoop and look at everything in my lounge and dining area (since i use the dining table to sort all our mail and stuff before i file them away). She even checks out what is in my bathroom and then asks me about stuff in there LOL too funny. I close all our bedroom doors too. I have on occasion when I have been at my in laws place LOL but I don't do it intentionally, i mean the things are right there in front of you when they sit you down LOL how can you not peek HAHA

ROFL!!! That is hilarious. What a great way to keep people from snooping and teach them a lesson. Sorry it happened to you but it is a great idea to booby trap the cupboards. Thanks for sharing.

If there's a stranger in or around a neighbor's property, I keep an eye out, especially if I know the neighbors aren't home, but generally I keep my eyes to myself. The other exception is when I'm at the policing centre, then I tend to read all the notes lying about, just to keep up on things.

I was 11 years old on my first baby sitting job! I snooped through the kitchen cupboards to see what goodies I could find to eat. There was nothing. I then got inspired to snoop their bedroom looking at the things on the dresser. I had the thought of getting caught and how would I feel and the thought of it made me sick so I never snooped again. Fear is a powerful thing!

Ahh I LOOOOVE snooping! I try not to make a habit of it though. I think I am more a people watcher than a snoop actually.... Because I always find myself watching people and wondering how their life is, what they are about to do, and how the person they happen to be talking to is related to them. I guess I like imagining things about them too, like if I see an older guy talking to a younger girl, I will think they are either father and daughter, or this man is cheating on his wife... haha! It's silly I guess, but I really enjoy it! It is my own type of entertainment i suppose... About snooping... uhh I have house sat before and snooped around a little bit, but nothing too dangerous, and i never stole anything (except for a sprits of perfume once or twice hee hee)

I can honestly say I don't snoop. Maybe my friends just aren't that interesting or I find it creepy.

Yes i do snoop from my house. If thier windows are open i look for decoration. When i go to somebody's house i do not look into cupboards or into papers unless everything is in the open. nobody can resist that.
