Donating eyes

I have always had a fear of darkness, deep and solid. So eyes are very precious to one and all. I want to donate my eyes to some blind person when I die, possibly a young person so that he/ she may be able to enjoy the beauty of nature and be able to work and do everything a normal person does. I have registered with an eye bank and told my family to do the needful when the time comes. Maybe, in a way, I will be a little responsible for his happiness. My granny did the same and on the day of her funeral, a child got its vision. you can imagine the gratitude and blessings of his mother. I am sure, these blessings must have helped my gran in the other world.

Once a lady met a disciple of Budha. She began to talk with him. " How beautiful is your eyes. how deep is the blue colour in your eyes. The magnetic power of your eyes are so strong.How pure is your vision". The disciple removed his two eyes and gave to that lady and told her " I am presenting my eyes to you. please permit me to move freely" Eyes has a lot of power. It makes a living creature his disciple. It can give pease. It can give encouragement. It can make some one angry. It can cause sorrow and happiness. One look with eye will make a lot of difference.

It is one of the noble act, for you to donate such things and make others happy. I too have thought about this for a very long time, I just hope that my eyes are still worth using for because I already have problems with it!;) So I think if ever there's a chance, I'd donate not only my eyes but other organs that I know could still be used by others!;)

I have donated my eyes and organs when I die, I think there is no better thing a person can do, to think you may be able to change someones life to such an extent is a great feeling, I think it is sad to take these things with you when others can lead a better life because of you.
