I usually do have problem opening jars and when I do I use a latex dishwashing gloves to open them. They give a non-slip grip that makes opening jars easy. Some other ways I have tried tapping on the side lid of the jar cover to loosen them up.
Do you encounter having a hard time with opening jars? How do you cope with it, what do you do? What other ways can you think of?

Hey eprado, thank you so much for the tips. It really work effectively and efficiently.
I had been having a hard time opening the jar. What I use is a thick rubber band and tie around the jar cover and give it a hard twist.
Now, with your method, really fantastic. A big thank you!

I usually take a butter knife and tap on the jar all around the lid and that usually loosens it enough for me to open it.
or I turn the jar over and hit it on the bottom and then it usually opens after that..
and if neither of those work I just pass it to my fiance and tell him to open it lol..

Actually I can't remember when the last time was that I had trouble opening a jar. The best I can remember I would usually manage with my hands, but on rare occasions would use a dish towel or tap it or both. I think that once upon a time there was a bought clamping type device that was around but I didn't like to use that. It is funny that it has been years since I had a jar that seemed so hard to open that it gave me much trouble.

What my father used to do when he comes across a stubborn jar cover is put a rubberband around the lid of the cover. Then he twist it with the rubberband still on to open the cover jar. Walla! it works. :)
