Because it is the inspired messages written by men taken from the Word of God which was explained to me as a child and I have come to believe that as an adult. God sent His only child Jesus to show His love by having His only Son live among us with His Chosen People to teach us and die for each one of us on the Cross for our sins so that we can choose to love Him back as God gave each of us our own free will. I continue to read the Bible on a daily basis to hear His Word and remain close to Him and I know in my heart that God is all-powerful, all-knowing and a loving God. As all the events in the Bible concur, He can also be a vengeful God if we are hypocrites, or evil, or blasphemous. I also believe that He is the only Judge but we are each asked to discern about who to believe and who not to believe. I'm just taking this opportunity to take a stand and say what I believe and I thank you for the chance to admit that I am a follower of Jesus. Thanks for the question. I'm sure you'll get a lot of responses. I personally don't tell anyone what to believe but you did ask. Good luck.

Well, why don't you share, why you are reading the bible? That would interest us and make the discussion interesting.
