CJ is 9 and Autistic. About a year ago he decided that he wanted a kitten; he had seen some cats on a program of his, taped it, and showed me. I asked him what kind of kitty he wanted and he showed me a picture of a Tabby. I called our local animal shelter and was sent a photo via email of a kitten that they had. He was so cute and I showed CJ the photo. I asked him what he wanted to name him and he was trying to say, Tabby, but it came out, Taffy...So, that's how we got the name.

Well we have two Toms we named after the way they look, one is Tiger and the other is Bear. Bear when a kitten looked just like one, he has long fur. Then the female she is hyper so we call her playful.

The cat I had when I lived with my parents was named "Eleanor Louise" and I called it Ellie. I named it that, because I had performed that year in the musical, Leader of the Pack, and the lead character was Ellie, whose full name was Eleanor Louise.
I live in an apartment right now, but am hoping to be in a house by January. I plan on immediately getting an orange cat and naming it Crookshanks, after Hermione's cat in Harry Potter. If I get another one, I'll name it either Hermione or Gryffindor.

My cat's name is Trinitie, but she already had that name when we got her. But the reason that the people that had her before named her that, was because they found her when she was just a baby, right outside of Trinity Hospital.
She was only a few months old when we got her, but we decided not to change her name. We do call her Rinnie more often than anything else, but that's because that is the way my 18 month old says her name.

Isn't amazing how babies learn to say a pet name so quick. That is so cute. Thanks!
