Empty Packages In The Fridge/Cabinets!!!!

Please explain to me why anyone would put back an empty container when it should be either thrown away or placed in the sink??? My sister is especially guilty of this!!! She is always leaving empty stuff in the pantry or the fridge. Just now I went to fix lunch for myself and found an empty chocolate chip cookie package, empty hotpocket box, 1 lonely pickle slice left in the jar, enough milk in the gallon jug to make a nice tiny glass for someone the size of a mouse!, and the very last slice of bread - you know, the heel, the crusty nasty part we never eat here!! Why do people do this? Is she just that lazy? I haven't been here much teh last couple of days, so I know it was her, and she swears it wasn't, but two other sisters would say it was her as well. I just want to know why people do that. Thanx

I have no idea why people do this. And I think it is mostly husbands. my husband will go and drink the last of the tea or even the kool aid for the kids and sometimes at the same time he is doing it he will say to me "the tea is empty" hello wake up. And the next thing is, is that they can never make the kool aid or the tea. My husband was the one that showed me how to make his special tea (I hate tea with bags, I like the fake stuff) and he has never made it since...amazing. I dont think we will ever find the answer to y. I just think it is for us mothers/wives to have something to do....LOL

I've experienced that too, right down to the tea thing (the stuff from a can/jar is soooo much easier to deal with!) Maybe it is just a patience test, I bet they all go to work and joke about what they left empty for us to find later!

Oh my daughter used to do that all the time and it just drove me crazy! She especially did that with milk - she would leave just the tiniest, tiniest drop in the bottom of the carton and put it back in the fridge, so of course I would think we still had milk left. So annoying. No matter how many times I used to say to her about it she still kept doing it. She has her own house now so at least I know that everything in my fridge actually has stuff in it!

I really don't understand this either. I also don't understand someone finishing off the milk and then they lay the milk bottle on the counter and leave it there when the trash is right by the counter side by side.
They can't be that lazy to just throw it away, can they?
My daughter does this alot and so does my husband. Drives me crazy.
And then, one time, I decided to do it myself, just to see what they would do, and boy, they both jumped on me for it. I hope they know how it feels. I hate running behind them and throwing things away when they were just right there and could of done it.
It's funny though.
And as for the bread, well my son likes the crusty bread, lol, so we keep it until he eats it. I don't know why he likes it. And as for the pickle, maybe they were just to full for the last pickel? LOL!

to be honest, i really don't know. maybe it's just a habit or psychological. i've been living with this kind of people half my life. and it is really annoying and frustrating. because i always remind them and shout at them about the same thing.
