Do you believe there are "Angels Among us?" Do they intervene in human affairs?

There are lots of stories in print and on the internet about angels. Billy Graham wrote an entire book about them. There's even a verse in the Bible that tells us to always entertain and be kind to strangers because we never know when we've been interacting with angels. Do you believe in angels who watch over and intervene? Or, is it all just chance?

Sometimes when bad things happen, I can't help but question where the angels were. My Dad, who was agnostic, always used to say that if God was so great, why is everyone suffering? It was tough because my Mom was very religious and believed there was nothing left to chance and that there were reasons we may not know of for everything.
I believe that there are angels among us. I have had some situations occur that make me believe that strongly. My son was so ill, he was basically written off as gone when he was four. But something drove me to the net, something sent me to a site, something made me call Johns Hopkins on a SUNDAY and somehow the doctor I wanted to find answered the phone. Long story short, my four year old son is now 16 and healthy because of the experimental diet he was on for seizures. My mother was in the hospital at the same time fighting for her life. The day we left for Baltimore, she had a seizure. Her first ever. And last.
It was eerie because I just felt like everything was happening and I wasn't controlling any of it. Her having that seizure seemed to fuel me to go and do this thing I was not too sure about doing. Maybe it was a message, I don't know.
But the short answer is, I believe there are angels among us and I believe it could be anyone, anywhere...

I've got stories I could share with you about angels! I would lean toward your Mom's view on there being a reason for everything. But, then you already knew that about me!
I understand your Dad's point of view, I really do. I think we tend to feel that way because we really, really don't understand the big picture. None of us do, and that's the problem. We have our own ideas about what is just and fair, but only GOD see the whole deal, and I have to have faith He knows what He's doing.
I can really empathize with your experience. I've done several things in my life I just felt completely compelled to do, almost like it was out of my control. Only later, when I looked back on it, did it make any sense. Sometimes, it didn't and I realized I had acted completely against my desires, but it worked out much better than if I had followed my own feeble thoughts!

Yes...my dear friend Mike Me.
What I can see, here on myLot, a lot of angels keep on posting and responding to our discussion but they appear as female friends. Luckily you 'intrude' into myLot planet, at least increased the number of male members on myLot.
I'm 'drowning' here where there are too many female angels, not just beatiful but super smart in posting ideas.
From Me,
Michael.
