What do you (or did you) love about being single?

Everyone has been single at one point in their lives or maybe for the duration of it. We all miss it when we're not and b*tch about it when we are, lol. So what is so great about being single? What do you love about living your life single or what did you love about your single life when you were?

Definitely love my single now and since I am on a long-distant relationship now, it hasn't been very different from when I was single. I love the freedom and the fact that whereever I go, I don't need to "report" to someone. Besides, my emotions were like really stable and happy when I was single because there wouldn't be any outsider's suddenly drag me down or something and I think I look better when I was single too *laughs*. I just love it, I enjoy being myself and doing my stuff. My brain was definitely more productive when I was single (as I had to kill time during festivals *laughing hard*).

I agree, long distance relationships can be a lot like being single. I've been in 3 and always loved that aspect of it. As far as being single goes, I'm the same way, I feel like my emotions are so much more stable and life is easier.

We are alike then! I hate people ruining my emotions for no reason and I hate being emotional and not productive. I would rather be single than being with some freaks anyway. Like today, I don't have to date, and I keep on working on everything I need to online, I am proud of myself being so concentrated *laughs*. Well, some people complain about being single, but I really enjoy it, just less hassle in general!

Yes we are! And I agree completely, I feel like I have more time and energy to focus on doing things for myself calmly instead of constantly having to deal with somebody else's drama. I used to hate being single and recently I realized that the times I was happiest and my life was the least complicated was when I was single.
One of my best friends is the kind of person that can't be w/out a man and if she doesn't have a boyfriend her whole world falls apart yet when she's with one she's always complaining about all of the drama and never getting to really be herself and having to pretend to be things or like things for the sake of the other person. Then she tells me not to worry that I'll find someone and I'm thinking maybe I should be the one comforting her saying, don't worry one day he'll leave and you can be free, lol.

Hi gmakesmoney! I think what I missed somehow in being single is I am just living for myself and no one else. haha.. Oh, don't get me wrong, I love being married because I enjoy the pampering and caring give to me by my hubby. But being single is entirely different as if you have no care in the world. You can go out anytime you want without thinking of anyone waiting for you and just come home anytime you want. Just my thoughts. Take care and have a nice day!

I'm sure there are benefits to each situation both being single and married. I agree with you about just living for yourself, that's how I feel now and I've never been happier.

I like the fact that you can be yourself, you don't have to shave your legs etc if you don't want to. You can take up as much room in your bed as you want. Watch whatever you want on tv, and when you go out you can flirt with whoever you want :)
Personally i like being single as am not good at commitment or relationships.

The not having to shave your legs is hands down the very best part of being single!!! I don't think men understand that time that takes and how bad nics can hurt.
