have you begin to write a novel

I've tried writing off and on, nothing serious of course, but I always go off on many chapter-long tangents that make absolutely no sense. I remember in sixth grade, I was writing a book in school, and a simple flashback turned into a seven-chapter-long mess. I stopped writing the book then. :) Looks like writing isn't my thing.

I started writing a book today - I've made it through two paragraphs thus far.. Rather or not, I take the time to finish it is unknown.
