I know this is old news already, and most of you netizens already know that Rico Blanco, the chief songwriter of the famous and established Philippine Rock Band Rivermaya, has left the group. Blanco, was one of the five musicians who formed Rivermaya (Bamboo Manalac, Nathan Azarcon, Perf de Castro, and Mark Escueta are the others...). Although his plans are yet unknown, speculations say that he will go solo under the name "BLANCO". What's your reaction to this?

Well, it's good. If that makes him happy then why not. Let us respect whatever his plans are. But I think it would be unfair to the group if Rico Blanco will make his own career through going solo. If that's the case then every member of Rivermaya now go to their own separate ways and either join a band or create another band and it would decreased the numbers of their fans.
