Oh, maybe your girl is just a hater, because I'm a girl and I loved 300, it's actually in my top ten list of favorite movies, probably even number one. Most of my girlfriends and my sisters loved it too.
It was such an awesome movie, great sequences, great graphics, awesome looking guys, what's not to love? Every dialog, every scene is so memorable and so wonderfully shot, it's truly entertaining.
Don't worry, dude, girls loved it too!

Yeah, I agree. Maybe your girl just doesn't like gore stuff. or maybe she's into too much romantic stuff. *LOL*
I am a girl and I think the movie 300 is great. The action and fight scene. The cinematography. The acting. But of course there's a miss on the storyline (because the Spartans where never settled into a community ~ they're said to be nomadic type of people) but still the story is great.
=)
Don't worry, it's true, women also like this movie. Maybe your girl is just an exception, or was trying to be cute for you.. hahaha

I'm a chick and I thoroughly enjoyed the movie, but perhaps that was because I had read Frank Miller's 300 graphic novel and could appreciate the wonderful job the whole team did on converting the comic book, frame by frame, into the movie.
Comparing the book and the movie side by side and with still shots, you could see the comic in live action. It was just that well done!

yeah, every one would love a patriotic movie.. 300 is an absolutely terrific movie. the attitude, the valour the spartans display send a chill down my spine. so much to keep their honour. they challenged and even demured a person who projected himself as god. i think they were bogged down by the wrong priests who just had no respect for these warriors. my personal favorite line in the movie when the king says : SPARTANS NEVER RETREAT!!!!!!!!!!. the greatest sequence when the king as a young lad fights the beast and also , when he kicks the intruder into the well..

I know that my fiance likes this movie a whole lot more than I did, but I did enjoy parts of it. I really thought the Persians looked super cool, especially with all of their strange facial piercings. :)

I actually love it! Maybe your girlfriend just don't like violence on movies with morbid scenes that's why she hates it. Actually, the movie 300 could be loved by all people regardless of gender, race, or even age (unless of course the movie can't be viewed by children due to some scenes not appropriate for them).
