I used to have cold water bath in the morning. This could make me more refreshed and energetic to begin a new day.
Before going to bed I prefer warm water shower. The massaging effect of the warm shower really makes me relaxed and comfy.
After enjoying the warm water bath normally I could be able to sleep more peacefully.

I like warm showers of cold. for the main reason is that when I take cool showers I get goosebumps and the whole shower is awkward. The heat makes people tired, well most, and therefore helps me sleep. PersonaI think that cold showers are for people a really bad hang-over.

I suppose it is true that cold shower could really make a person to get goose bumps, worst still if it makes the person shivered. As the heat could make you tired it is advisable not to take warm shower too long in the bathroom so as to avoid falling asleep in it lol...

Hello ikbooi!(",)
I would prefer cold shower everyday because its very refreshing and cool. I also found out that cold shower has lot's of benefits to the body such as the following:
In an article from http://www.earthclinic.com/Remedies/showers.html the following benefits of cold water were noted
* Brings blood to the capillaries, therefore increasing circulation throughout the body.
* Cleans the circulatory system.
* Reduces blood pressure on internal organs.
* Provides flushing for the organs and provides a new supply of blood.
* Strengthens the parasympathetic and sympathetic nervous systems.
* Contracts the muscles to eliminate toxins and poisonous wastes.
* Strengthens the mucous membranes, which help resist hay fever, allergies, colds, coughs.
Let's enjoy a cold shower everyday!(",)

Hi madlees, I also encourage people to take cold water shower as it could give all the advantages as mentioned by our friend, lani. As long as it is bearable I do always try to take cold water shower. What you said is true. Age is another factor to be considered for health sick when having cold water shower or bath.

I too think like that lani, I prefer to take cold water bath daily. If I have hot or luke warm water bath, I don't feel as if I had bathed at all. I prefer the zing in the cold water even during the winter times as much as I can. Snce Iam getting older for that I am thinking of changing for my health sake. I do not want to get sick...

I believe it is normal for people in temperate countries like Italy to take warm shower rather than the cold one as the temperatures there are rather low as compared with my tropical country here.
As for me I couldn’t take cold water bath at all when I visited a foreign country during a winter season few years ago.

Hi Nardz, I envy the place where you live. In my impression I always associate your country with fresh cool air, the snowy mountains and vast greenish meadow. In my country Malaysia, nearly all year round the daytime weather is quite hot but at the night time or rainy day the water is rather cold. So the people here used to take cool shower during daytime.

Most of the time, I use cold water as I am use to it. I feel that cold water really wakes me up and like you, I find it very refreshing. Also, I find that when I use cold water, I shiver less after taking a bath than if I use warm water.
However, during winter months, I switch to warm water as I just can't take the cold!

well, that depends on what time of the day i'm having a shower.. when it's early in the morning, i prefer cold water to make me alive and energetic to start the day, to do the chores and everything.. but when i shower before going to bed, i definitely prefer having warm water coz it relaxes my muscles, my body from the whole day of work.. it really makes me sleep tight and comfortable having a warm shower..

In the hot summer season, I take a cool shower because the water is not cold at all. I cannot suffer warm water in summer. But on cool days, I take a warm shower. In winter, I have to take a hot shower every day to keep me warm. Therefore it depends on the weather.

Dear jisir. Thank you as so kind to provide me the informative answers for the individual questions.
Oh! Now I come to know that during winter, water will be less in the cold north and even worse in the northwest of China.
I believe that you are very lucky to stay in the southern part of china where the weather is quite comfy even during the winter and no worry of getting shower at all for the cold period.

The habit of taking warm or cold shower depends much on the environment temperatures. Here I usually take cold shower at daytime when the weather is rather warm and warm bath at the evenings. If I were sick I always take warm water bath.
In my experience to take warm bath in winter was rather pleasant. But at the moment when I turned off the warm shower and started wiping my body I could then be shivering with cold due to the sudden change in the temperature.
Do you feel reluctant to take bath in winter?
When I visited China someone there told me in certain places in China there are people who only took bath twice in their life time. Once when born and the other when married, it’s true?

Question:
"Do you feel reluctant to take a bath in winter?"
As I have a comfortable gas heater in my shower room, I still love to take a shower every day or every other day if it is too cold. But I feel warmer after taking a hot hot shower in winter and am happy for that.
Question:
"When I visited China someone there told me in certain places in China there are people who only took bath twice in their life time. Once when born and the other when married, it’s true?"
I am not sure about the truth of it as I live in the south of China, not in the cold north or somewhere where there is not enough water in the northwest of China.
In the south of China we have plenty of water and our weather is nice in winter not as cold as that in the north. I love to take a shower even in cold winter. hehe

I felt sorry that I couldn’t approve your friends’ request though I had tried for days due to my posting problem. Finally I had got it yesterday in the late of night. We have the different time zone. I have just taking my breakfast after having my cold shower this morning. I think you might be busing surfing net now.

It's cold splashing bucket style bath for me all the time. And yes it is most definitely refreshing and it just wakes you up. I can't understand some people like my brother who will turn.heater to maximum and bathe hot water in the middle of the day 3pm where the sun is burning hot !! LOL !!!...I can't,I just can't. In fact if I bathe like that I would come out feeling like I didn't bathe at all. my mum use to say my brother is going in to get himself cooked !!!

Yeah eagle, for people like us, living in the tropical country always experience the scorching hot weather all the time prefer to take cold water bath or shower to get rid of the heat. I dislike taking warm or hot water shower as well. I would become sweaty again easily once I step out the bathroom.
Really, bathing by keep on pouring the bucket of cold water onto our body during sunny afternoon is really a great enjoyment. I like the cool and comfortable feeling when cold water flowing down from our head or shoulder part to the feet continuously.
It is really a wonderful and cool experience during hot sunny noon. my niece also doing the similar style of bathing as your brother, yeah even during the hot days.
Happy posting and take care.

That's right. As our society are becoming more and more advance, our environments conditions are deteriorating. Our water supply are polluted and in long term, our health are endangered. Therefore we human need to design and install advance filter just to obtain water safe for drinking and showering.

It’s lucky that we as modern man could enjoy a modern device, the electric heater which could provide hot or cold water so conveniently to serve for different purposes. In this way we could enjoy bathing at different temperatures of the day or the season. The shower could provide chlorine free water and even vitamin C lol...

That really depends on what kind of weather my place is having. When it is really cold, I would of course prefer to take a bath with warm water. But usually, I have always use cool water as a shower. I think cool water is just basically refreshing.

I was told that to take cold water bath the skin of our body is much healthier than to take warm water bath. Yup, cool water shower really makes us refreshed and pleasant especially during sunny days. Of course the cold water could always make us shivering if taken during cold rainy day.

Hi sophylline. Only people who had really experienced taking cold water shower during cold day could really understand the terrible feeling of doing that. Your heater must be that of an understanding type. He might have sympathized with you and became serviceable the following day lol...

LOL You are right! Using cold water for a shower when the weather is cool makes us shiver. Brrrr! haha I don't like that feeling at all. And I have experienced that lately. The heater at that time just didn't work and had no idea why, so I went ahead and took a shower at night and the weather was cold. Yikes! The weird thing is, the next day the heater was working again!

In a cold country like England I prefer to shower in warm or even fairly hot water. It can feel relaxing and so very comfortable. In a tropical country I am happy to shower in cool or even cold water. In a hot a humid climate this can feel wonderful refreshing. When I was in Darwin in Australia the cold water felt so lovely and refreshing. As soon as I dried myself I went back to being hot and sticky. Luckily I love hot weather and warm sunny days. If I read in a guide book that accommodation has cold water only it does not put mer off at all. When I was in a village in Indonesia I had to wash in a river. I did this wearing many clothes rather than shock the local Muslim community by wearing just a swim suit.

Oh, it is interesting to travel widely and experienced different climates with different types of water when showering. Generally it is true to say that we prefer to warm water in cool weather and cold water in hot climate. It is quite a different experience to take bath in natural environment openly in river and pond. The water there could really refresh us other than we could enjoy the beautiful surrounding scene in the meanwhile. In my place I often go to the nearby stream at the foot hill to take bath and have picnic there with my family. The water there is crystal clear and cool and it really refreshed me in hot and humid tropical weather here.

Yes, there is nothing quite like showering, bathing or swimming in natural water. I liked washing in the lake. I went to a stunning set of waterfalls and pools in Australia. Wow! It was a magical sort of day enjoying relaxing in the cool and quite refreshing water.

Usually, I don't really care whether it is cold or warm water as long as I take a bath and feel very clean. If you ask me to choose, I will prefer warm water when the weather is cold and prefer cool water when the weather is hot.

In the summer when it is hot I want a cool shower or bath. In the winter I want a hot shower or bath. When a person is ill with a fever they should bath in cool water to help bring down the fever.

Well it really depends on what time of the year it is. In the summer and it is over 80 outside a cool, not cold shower works for me in the middle of the day. In the winter and when my back is in SO much pain. I get it as hot as I can stand it.
Now my one son, loves the water so hat that it turns his skin pink, which is not good for a long period of time.

Hi kaysue4, here the tropical weather is rather hot and I am used to take cool shower in the morning. This could really make me refreshed and comfy especially after exercise or gardening. At the evening when the weather is cooler I sometimes take warm shower.
