What do you think is more important - hard work or luck?

Even though it is important to have luck I think its more important to be a hard worker because Luck might help you get a job but it wont help you keep it inorder to keep the job you have to be a very hard worker because thats what bosses want from your employees now ofcourse im a hard worker but I wish I had more luck on my side wich I apparantley dont now.

I also believe in luck but I do not rely on it to get success coz I have failed in an attempt to do so! I was going to give an exam and I had not finished revising all the chapters; I guess there were 3 chapters left so I tried to remember some basic things in all the 3 of 'em and went for the exam. I was hoping that by luck with the basic that I've "learned" I would be able to answer the questions. But I was wrong and I lost a lot of marks as there were questions from those chapters in that exam. So I firmly believe that hard work is very important to succeed in something; to have faith in luck is like to shoot an arrow in the dark...

I believe that hardwork is more important than luck. Luck is the result of hardwork. In short, we make our own luck. We reap what we sow. It would not just sprout. We have to do something and hardwork is the catalyst that produces luck. A man who does nothing and who never lifts a finger will never amount to anything. But the possibility of a man who works hard is infinite and such a man could become great.

I believe in miracles and hard work. I don't believe in luck. What source does luck come from?

it is dangerous to abide by the grace of luck. you must always imbibe with yourself the essence of hardwork - it always feels good to receive and enjoy the fruit of hardwork than luck.

luck is also good, but you really to work hard to get your dreams, you have also to work in the right opportunity.

Dear ibsnet I guess for success we need both things in equal quantity. There is no use of hard work if you don't have luck .. and there is no use of luck if we won't do any work .. so both of them are needed to achieve success. There are many persons who work hard like a donkey but won't get what they deserve .. this all happens because of bad luck.

i guess the most important is luck if you want to have succes.sometimes hard working doesn't help too much if you don't have luck and maybe someone less prepared than you but with more luck takes your place even if you hardly work for that.that is my opinion.hard work is useful,but luck is the point of decision.don't know where the luck comes up.

Hardwork is a must, unless you are playing lottery or something and its all in your hands to work hard or not. Luck is something which you have no control over, so better don't think of it. Give more importance to hard work, it pays off if luck accompanies it. Crying over bad luck is good for nothing, so hard work is something which we should consider important because that's where we have something to do. Luck is just to be left to the god to be taken care of, we can't help it.

I think both is very important, if you do nothing you will probably never get nothing. But if you work hard and you are lucky you will succeed in everything
