Well that time of the year is almost here, The Minnesota State Fair. One of my favorite times of the year. I live maybe 7 miles or so from the fairgrounds so it's a quick trip for me. I love going here for many reasons. My wife & I especially like walking through the grandstand area as that's where they have thousands of booths set up selling everything. we always buy some essential oils from the same booth every year and also replacement heads for our typical fair mop. Hahaha. So in 2 weeks I will be busy mostly every day visiting the fair. I go about 3 or more days out of the 12 day run. I love seeing the rodeo and horse shows as well. This year we have the Royal Canadaina Mounted Police for a demonstration also. Hope you all have fairs that you enjoy as much as my wife & I do. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~ http://www.mnstatefair.org/

so you don't participate in fairs by way of selling stuff? cause I've got brand perfumes available for only 100$ per L, if you're interested message me and I'll send you the list of brands we make.

How fun! It seems like you have a lot of things to do around where you live. We have a fair, but it's kind of expensive, so I don't always go.

This would be much the same as our Show week. It is very big. We go every year, but only for one day. It is Soooo... expensive. We ghenerally stay for up to twelve hours. We ,ove sdeeing the horses as well, particularly my daughter, who is a good rider. I love visiting the cats & dogs on display. In fact I like anything thats free. I only go on one ride, the Ferris Wheel. I mighgt give that a skip this year due to the expense. My daughter LOVES the scarey challenging rides. She is into buying show bags, but if money is an issue, she prefers the rides. Some of the side shows are a big rip off. Hubby likes looking at cars, etc.' You have a wonderful time & don't spend too much money.

It's a 12 day event every year here. the fairgrounds are a city in itself all year also. We go early a.m. and eat breakfast on the grounds before they open the booths etc. We also love watching the 4Her shows with all their animals etc. We can easily spend $150 for the 2 of us in one day there. Ugghh! HAHAHAHA!! HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

OH I love state fairs! The state fair in this state is about 3 and 1/2 hours from my home. It is usually at a time of the year that is very inconvenient for hubby and I to go, as we are college professors and are in the thick of paper grading, test construction and other duties when the state fair occurs. You fair sounds very nice and much larger than ours. Have fun!!

The California State Fair will be starting on the 17th of this month and going until September 3rd. I haven't been to it since I was a kid. There are just way too many people that attend it, and it is in a city that has a large population of gang members, so it has become somewhat violent over the last several years. Fortunately, we have all of the local fairs, and there are a couple of them that we attend every year. Our local county fair will be starting up on the 21st and it goes for about a week. It's a lot of fun, and it's really convenient for us as it is only across town. I especially love the big ice cream booth that is there every year. I just can't leave until I have had my waffle cone! LOL

I just attended our county fair. There were lots of booths and now I have many flavors of salt water taffy, which is my favorite snack food. Also purchased the fresh donuts that we could watch them being made and its one of the few times this year I have consumed a donut. The other items that were purchased were fresh cookies and signed up for a water service, so now I won't be hauling water to fill my water cooler. Have a great time. Its fun to see the shows. I would love to see the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Hope you post some pictures.
