Generally speaking, meat can stay fresh for 7 to 10 days in the fridge and up to three months in the freezer, if it is well wrapped. If it is vacuum sealed, meat can last maybe up to a year or longer in the freezer. How long meat will stay good is a variable thing. The factors include what kind of meat you are talking about, how well it is wrapped, how old it was when you began to store it, how long it was exposed to the air, how cold you keep your refrigerator, whether the meat is exposed to warm air when you open the door to get items out, whether it already started developing bacteria before it is frozen, and a whole host of other factors come into play. I could say after storing it in the fridge, there are other ways of storage. Sometomes here in m country, they cure the meat or soak them in concentrated sugar then it comes out here as a favorite foods here, tocino. You also grind it up for easier storage and preserving. I think the safest for this kind of storage is around 1-2 months.

IF it is a regular freezer I would say a year, if it is a deep freez freezer I would say up to five years. I am not kidding. I have many people tell me this including nurses.

A long time ago, when I had a brand new refrigerator, it actually had alist of how long each kind of meat could be kept. What kind of meat are you talking about?
