I am reading "Word Painting" by Rebecca McClanahan, a writer's guide for writing more descriptively. I'm hoping it will help me put some zip in the descriptions in the novel I'm writing. So far...it hasn't helped that much, but I'm really just getting into it. I'm looking for some light fiction to read, but I haven't found anything that grabs my interest in a while. The last good book I read was Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, and that's been a few weeks now.

Yes, I have enough inspiration. I just wrote academic-style papers for so many years that sometimes delving into imagery and symbolism doesn't come naturally like it did when I was younger.

I have completed my 4th book this year. It was Five Point Someone by Chetan Bhagat. Its an amazing book which centres around the life of three out of school boys who have just entered the IITs, one of the toughest engineering colleges in the world, and how they manage to take out time fro their studies to indulge in their stuff. Very interesting, must read...

I am reading " I'll bring you buttercups", by Elizabeth Elgin. It is a WW1 love story. It's abit superficial really, not the sort of thing I usually rewad, but I wsas in a rush when choosing something.

I just finished reading The Broker by John Grishman. My feelings about it is mixed. It's not really boring, but it's really something you would go out of your way to read. But if your bored, with nothing else to do, then it's good enough.
