Upon registering your URL there are two categories of registration, free and paid. If your registered for FREE, you have to wait your URL turn to appear where there is no such definite time and date for it's appearance.
Not like PAID registration, it will appear within 24 hours after your payment has been verified.
Give me your URL address, I'll try to search it?

Also list it in free directories and in forums. The point is to have as many links pointing to your blog as possible, because search engine spiders find and list your URL through those links. In fact pretty much linking is the most important factor. Also try to write regularly, because search engines love fresh content, but the more quality posts you write the more returning visitors you will have, and real quality contents they will start linking (without you requesting them to do so, so it is pretty automatic)

Writing web content is different than writing for print. You need to saturate your posts with your keywords. I write for Associated Content and they want four or five words to have at least 3% saturation. That just means repeating keywords several times. This helps search engines pick up on your post easier.
Also, if your posts are on a specific topic, make sure several keywords appear in most of your articles. I write a blog on NASCAR and I include a bit on Dale Earnhardt, Jr. in about 70% of the articles. I get good traffic from search engines because of it. My stats tell me that most people find me from searches for "Earnhardt".
Try using keywords as a way to get more traffic. Good usage and saturation works.
