Do you lack motivation in myLot?

I'm also erupting one sad discussion as some others did, just unable to bear the heat of dissatisfaction anymore.
Lots of sad stories, about deletion of posts, reduced income, inactivity of users, the dwindling number of responses and many good bye discussions. I've also had a hardtime understanding the complex payment algorithm of myLot.
I'm really not at ease while being on myLot. Lots of unanswered questions keep disturbing my mind, lots of confusions as well. I feel threatened and troubled most of the times.
Despite being over cautious, i've lost two discussions with 196 responses altogether which recieved overwhelming compliments and words of appreciation. To add, they had hundreds of comments on them from me and also by others.
I'll be on a high note, after giving a hit discussion and being commended by many users. After a week of all this happening, the post becomes invisible shockingly, leading to a heart-break. All the efforts, appreciation and time devoted are dumped into the bin straight away without a reason. It feels hellish thereafter.
I feel like an underdog these days when i think of starting a new discussion, because of this kind of treatment on me. why should i post?, to get all my thoughts and feelings accumulated in the trash bin along with those junk posts which had something to deal with popcorn and panties?
I love to express my thoughts and imaginations in words. But there is nothing strong as to keep myself motivated all the while i'm being at myLot.
I can go on writing and writing and writing forever, but how can i do it with my hands tied?
One more blow and i'll be out of myLot:(
Share all your feelings and stories too.
P.S; I've read all the 70 responses in my last discussion and have rated them. Almost all of you have given very good and quality answers, i'll comment on them when i'm relaxed and back to normal.

Hi, first, I am sorry to hear that this has happened to you too.
Second, I would say it is "no big deal". It happens to everyone. I was once like you and I took it very personally. I treasure my discussions too and when myLot deleted them when I was sure I did not violate any guidelines, I was upset.
I felt like you did and wanted to leave and all. (insert soap opera here)
But I have got past that.
You only have 135 posts under your belt. Try looking at others who have thousands of posts - this is not necessary true but it is an indicator of the amount of time and effort they have committed.
In myLot, either you get over it and suck thumb and wag your tail here, or you just leave. Yea, quit for good.
PS.: In case you get me wrong, I am not being sarcastic in this post. Just saying what I think in a matter-of-fact manner. Please don't take it the wrong way.

I am glad that you did not take it the wrong way. It doesn't hurt to play it safe. :P
Ignore the soap bit.
If you feel you are enjoying yourself, hang around a bit more. I have been inactive for so long but today, I feel like responding to discussions so here I am, looking through the pages.
So there is no need to quit (unless they freeze your account without you agreeing :P). Just pop back when you feel like it. =)

Oh!, come on, you think i'll get you wrong everytime and everywhere?
Infact, what you said is right and nothing sarcastic in it. I'm not fully mentally prepared to quit as of now, but if it hits me again, i think i would do so.
Right now its too addictive to say good-bye once for all, i need to be very badly hurt to do that.
I did'nt understand "insert soap opera" what's that?

Do I lack motivation on myLot? In a word, "Yes." But it's not just myLot. I lack motivation in a lot of things these days... must be the summer doldrums.
I do pretty much the same as Raychill... just answer discussions that interest me and don't worry about making money.

I've lost best responses, too. I think it happens to all of us at some time or other. The other thing is, I've marked best response on one of my discussions, only to find when I check my unresolved discussions that the "best response" is no longer there and I have to choose another one!

I do follow the guidelines, but someone I responded to did not and that I can accept, except my star went from a nine way down to a seven, which makes me think that someone is also giving me minuses out of spite or to force me to come to that someone's point of view. I lost one discussion also unnecessarily and yet I see posts that do not follow myLot's guidelines against referral links still here. Also I suspect that someone or someones are abusing the report system and that could be why many decent posts get deleted. I joined mylot because I love to write and get paid for it and I could discuss things here that I could not on other forums. I do not want to leave, I have learned a lot from the people and made a number of friends.

I really enjoy MyLot myself, but the thing is there is only one computer in my house, I wasn't able to get on here during the summer due to my kids being here as well, so I wasn't able to earn a second payout as rapidly as I did the first payout and I am considering buying a new computer just for myself. On top of that, I have two jobs as well, and I don't get home until nearly nine o'clock some nights. I really enjoy MyLot myself, but I don't have the time to do it. Plus I just cannot get on to do this as I want to.

I totally understand what you are saying and can understand your frustration. I had one of my discussions taken away, then it came back then was gone again. Go figure. Guess they couldn't make up their minds. I am not good with words or wording things myself, not like I would like to be.
A friend sent me an invitation to join here and I did. I love to read the discussions and reply most of the times. Some I don't because they are not of interest to me or I have no idea what they are talking about, way over my head. haha
I will stop blabbing now. Have a great day and chin up.

Sometimes yes it gets very depressing here in mylot. I could also never understand their algorithm. I just have slight idea that they pay 1 cent per reply. And sometimes my posts got deleted too. But still i keep on going here. Because there is a promise that mylot pays. There are a lot of junk sites where u can keep posting and they will never even pay you. So i will just keep posting friend

Yes I do lack motivation here on mylot. I believe mylot is targeting the right people. Im just so disquisted with the whole thing. I use really care if I would make payout but not anymore. I think alot of other people are feeling the same. I hope someday I will feel better about mylot.

I have lost interest in mylot- For some reason- I am sick of posting the same amount and making less- and having great discussions that I see nothing wrong with- being deleted- I agree with you- I am no longer as active on the site- I certainly try to be- but then I see the same things you are talking about and it makes me like it even less.

1) It is not really normal to have a discussion with 80 answers deleted. What were you talking about? Was the conversation breaking the rules?
2) Making a comment to every answer is good if the comment is related to the answer. If you are only commenting to say thank you... you are breaking the rules. Remember... quality answers demands quality comments.
3) Lately... many people on myLot are spamming in order to get referral to other sites. Those discussions will be deleted because spamming is against the rules of every forum... including myLot. Just because a website offers you money for referrals does not mean that it wants you to start spamming the internet.
4) I find it amazing that someone who is relatively new to myLot (with 136 answers)... manages to get 80 answers to their question. I have never achieved 30 answers and I have been here for 7 months. How did you do that?
5) The system is very simple. If you want to make money... give an answer of between 12 and 15 lines each time... and you will earn the maximum 3 cents for each answer.

Hi.
It seems that you are feeling very low. Come on think about us, the people who are there in your friend list, I personally love to participate in most of your discussions, I mean it is really enjoyable. I know that it is really hard to maintain the same positive intent after something like that happens, but please don't think of quiting mylot seriously.

There's no need to be nervous , go on doing your work without thinking much on other matters, you are doing well, just remember that there are some rules and regulations, you just stick to them and never create any mistake to get your posts removed.I don't remember any of your posts having crossed the boundaries, anyway forget and cheers!!!!

A lot of people are begining to get a wee bit fed up with MyLot, especially when getting discussions removed, and losing a lot of responses, also sometimes losing money.
I know that a lot of members from here have now moved over to Yuwie (some permanently, and others like myself using both). If you want to know more about that site, then let me know and while I may be spending less time here, I intend staying at present.
I have also heard in discussions that some moderators on Mylot just delete everything if there is a complaint about a discussion instead of checking all the facts first (as they are supposed to do). The other site I mentioned has less problems about moderators etc, and don't 'Tie your hands' so much.

I completely understand your frustration. A lot of people are and have gone through this process. I wish i had an answer for you. but I ,like you stand here wondering if it is worth my time and effort to pose a question, or answer one, in the manner i would like to. It seems we are forced to follow all the pathetic beliefs of some that think and in actuality do have control over our discussions. We can be deleted in the blink of an eye, and unfortunately mylot seems to allow this to happen, in other words if you do not do "nice" you are not welcome. People that speak their mind are censored immediately and with a finality that astounds and dismays people that are quite capable of thinking for themselves. This is now a sad site, but I refuse to kowtow to those that say" believe as I do or we will delete you".

Hello luv, sorry to hear that your discussion was deleted. I confess I'm not active anymore. Not since my account was temporarily suspended. That was the biggest blow to my pride.
I can understand your sentiment very well. Like what wizard stated, I had some of my discussions deleted. It was not something I picked up from the trash and just posted it here, It was something that I used my heart and brain to share with all the mylotters.
After 2 weeks of inactivity here and seeing this discussion on my email, I feel that I should drop by to give you my comfort. I have to say that I don't have the motivation to hang on anymore. Indeed I miss all my friends but this community is just not the same anymore.

Oh! Your account was temporarily suspended!!??
This is another shocking news i'm hearing. For what reasons did they do so?
Its very kind of you to drop by, just for comforting me. You did comfort me by this post. Your heart is also pure and white as that cute bunny in your avatar.
Thanks a lot my friend, for your support, i miss you though this is our first meeting. You can login and participate in one or two discussions everyday, just for your friends' sake, so that they won't miss you badly.
I wish you all the best for your future.

Yes, I have to admit that I am becoming a little discouraged with mylot lately. I am becoming less and less active and may even quit when I reach payout, which is taking an incredibly long time.
I had a post removed the other day that I made and have no idea why. It was a response to another discussion. So, I feelings on this topic. I hope that you are relaxed soon :)

Hello I_LUV_U,
It happened to me a few times. My earnings decreased, few cents were missing, number of post deleted and some glitches here and there. I strongly believe that I never violate the guidelines. The only thing that I could think right now is that, all my problems started from my responses to other people's discussions. But like you, I don't really understand why certain discussions are being deleted. As far as I could see, none of the discussions that I responded to, and being deleted were violating the guidelines. I love to be here but sometimes I feel like losing interest to be here. I won't leave unless they force me to do so *sad*
