Fellow My Lotters, I've searched for the answer to this on the FAQ but have not found it. What does the "pencil and star" signs mean by your user name? The stars have a # inside them????

The star next to your username represents your myLot reputation. You will need a user rating of 100 before you are able to receive a reputation. Your myLot Reputation rating takes into account various factors including the Discussion Ratings System (DRS) and is based on a scale of 0 to 10 stars with 10 stars being the highest. Link: http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq11.aspx#3 I didn't get what you mean by pencil by our username. I tried looking for this pencil but I couldn't find one.

hi bwrattybaby, thanks for noticing my little contribution. it's worth going back to the FAQs once in a while, it helps. as i have read other resplies here, i got the view on what this PENCIL is all about. we see this pencil sign actually in our own discussion to mark our best response. now i got what the poster mean. LOL

The star is your rating, and you don't get one until you reach 100 posts. The pencil is to mark a response as the best response. Whether or not that helps with earnings, I'm not sure, but thats what it's for.

The pencil is the person that received Best Response on that Dicussion by the author. When we create a discussion when you have recieve a number of replies you can pick who you think gave the best response. They then get an extra point for the good work. I personally give my posts a week before I pick the BR. The star you will get once you reach 100 posts. We posters get to rate one another and depending on how you have been rated is what your star will be. A 10 being the best and highest. However most don't pay much mind to it cause it's not very accurate.
