WHy tall guys love a short girls?

Whenever , i go around a park or near clolleges or a trendy market area i have a natural habit to look around for the pairs of guys and girls talking or eating in restaurant or biking etc. It's a lovely scene for me . It means life . Love is one indispensible component of life .
In this process I have noticed a normal tendency of a good number of such loving couples in which the guy is of above average hight and the girl is of below average . They seem to be very comfotble .
I wonder what is the reason ? But failed to figure out .
What is your take on this ?

Well, it is about personal choices...no? I am a 6" guy who loves tall girls....but do not mind average girls. I may b wrong, but...psychologically speakin tall guys are considered tough...so, short girls feel secure and protected with them. Also, tall guys think short girls are "cute" :)

I personally find shorter girls more attractive. There's no detailed explanation, it's just my personal preference. By the same token, almost every girl I've known has wanted a guy that is taller than her. You'd probably have to talk to a sociologist to get a historic reason for this.

well i guess maybe girls height doesnt matter for them but her weight does.. uhm, i'm not sure..

It is strange to see tall girls walk with short boys.Boys like being taller than girls.It is a symbol of androcentrism.Goys think ,well,I just feel depressed if slower than a girl.Am i RIGHT?(LOL)

Hmm...I'm below average height (5'2") and have dated several guys above average (5'10" - 6'3"). I know it feels good being with a tall guy -- more secure, I guess -- but I have no idea what attracts them to me.
Although...every time I call a guy I'm seeing tall, he seems to take offense. I think it's a compliment; I always wanted to be tall.
Of course, the average height of males and females differs by a few inches anyway, so maybe that's part of it.
