"Don't judge a book by its cover" Do you? Why?

A popular quote or saying we always hear a lot of. "Don't judge a book by its cover"
Do you apply this on your daily life? Why and whats your thoght about this?Me, it has never been my wont to judged any book by its cover. Rather, I read their contents thoroughly; peruse every line it offers and analyze every plot and subplots that unfold as I read the book. After the finishing the story, that is when I judge the book. If I liked the story, I keep it and make it part of my personal collections. Otherwise, I throw it away where it will never waste anybody's time again.
Same thing I do in life in dealing with people.:-)

I don't judge a book... I cover it ... (just kidding)
I simply choose a book because the title intrigues me, or that it is a book written by my favorite author.
Other than that, I don't normally pick a book just because it find its cover attractive.
In dealing with people, I don't choose friends. I smile a lot, and I mingle with people a lot. It is in getting to know other people's personalities that determines my decision to make them as my friends, or to hire them in my case as an HR manager. If I haven't got the chance to know them personally, then I don't have to judge them by how they look.

I have never bought a book just for its beautiful or unique cover.I prefer the context of the book but not the cover.Indeed,a book with beautiful cover can attract people's attention but if the book itself is boring,I don't think someone will buy it just for its cover.
