Do you have a tongue stud? If you have, or intend to have one...well, read this:
A man thought it was cool and trendy to have a tongue stud, so much so that after his mother threw it away, he managed to get one from a friend, and promptly put on. But the 24-year old delivery man swallowed more than his pride - he was slurping up the noodles and then came to realise that his 3cm-long tongue stud was no longer in my tongue! The man landed himself 4 days in hospital, and of course, a tongue-slashing from his mother. Risks involved in body piercings, including tongue piercings: (1)Bleeding, (2)Infection, (3)Airway obstruction if tongue swell up, (4)chipped teeth from the metal stud hitting the teeth.
Share with us your experience if you are wearing a tongue stud. Why would people like to have body piercings? I simply can't understand why.

Personally I hate tongue piercings. I am a body piercer and I respect all piercings, but this one. Honestly, most people aren't cleanly enough to get this pierced and properly take care of it. Some people have no real problems that they can see. Even having this piercing for years. But if they were to ask their dentist their teeth are most likely to be in horrible shape. If not on the verge of falling out.
