Meeting Friend from myLOT

Would you care to meet your friend from myLOT? I wonder how many of you would like to meet your MyLOT friend?. No doubt that there are always some people from the same country are in your friends list in MyLOT, but then you never meet them before. I went to Australia last week and had the pleasure of meeting myLOT friend. Even it is only a short time that we met each others, but it seem that we had know each other for so long. How many of you have met your myLOT friends in person?. hhhmmm...just wondering what happen in your meeting them...

Hi Aidah! It was amazing to meet you in person here in my country, and like you said in your discussion, I too felt that we had known each other for a long time.
My only regret is that we didn't have more time to spend together, but I hope to visit you in your country one day, so we can continue our conversations!
I have put in a photo of us taken at Surfers Paradise Beach.

Hi Abbey, Thank you for meeting up with me. I'm glad that we met eventhough its for a short while. And thanks for driving me to the Post Office and the Movie World.
Yes you should come here or arrange for a stopover when you are on the way to US next year. We can have more time to talk and perhaps I can whip some hot spicy dishes for you too. Oh thanks for posting the photo there, I will mail you our photo once I upload them. I just couldnt find the time yet as I just reached here last nite. Thank you once again for that little hospitality that you gave me.

I've only been a member for a couple of months...but I have already connected with a few on-line friends I'd love to meet. Wouldn't it be great if we were in a financial position to travel to meet groups of Mylotters from different parts of the world?
I am glad to know you have already met someone from this forum...maybe you will have more opportunities as time goes on. It would be nice to be able to do the same thing. Thanks for making us aware of your experience and that it was a good one!

Thank you. Believe me, it will be great to meet your myLOT friend. I had met a lot of people online and some had become good friends over time.
Of course it will be good if we are financially able to travel to meet them. If not, worry not, offer to meet them at your country of residence then, who know if the other party are willing to travel to meet you. God bless.

I don't think that I've ever spoken to anyone on MyLot that comes from where I live or even close. But I think if I did meet up with someone that I'd met on the net then I'd be disapointed in some way because people are never quite what you expect them to be :)

There are a lot of people from my own country, but i don't intend to meet them at this point of time. I'm a shy and reserved person, i need to get more and more close, understand them much better before meeting them personally. May be we can meet up someday who knows, atleast not in the next few months, for sure.

Why not? Understand that you are shy and need more time to get to know them, but how to be more close than meeting up with them. Hopefully, you will have the courage to do that one day. Believe me, it will be a great experience and you never know your ability of meeting stranger in person and be a friend with them. Good luck ya.

Wow! That is great what you were able to meet someone from mylot. Who knows the two of you can end up very close friends.. it has happened before right like our yahoo club ;-)
And yes, would love to meet my friends here in mylot too if and when the opportunity presents itself.

wow it's so amazing that you actually met up with an international mylot friend! I'm quite shy and quite keen on keeping myself anonymous and free to share views so I don't think I'll be meeting anyone from mylot soon.
although I've met a friend from a bridal forum in singapore before. but that's also because we had mutual friends and felt comfortable meeting up. :)

Why not me meet since we are from the same country?. Who know maybe we stay in the same neighbourhood. I dont think once you meet the person you cant be free to share views, perhaps you will have more knowledge of that person and can give more views on the topic of the discussion. Plus how can you felt comfortable if you never meet the person. Perhaps we can organise a Singapore myLOT chapter Gathering. What say you?

It felt good to at least met Abbey19 at Goldcoast. Perhaps one day we can meet up too. My only regret is that some of myLOT frens from my own country and always response to my discussion wouldnt want to meet up due to shyness...aha ... they never thing of the networking though. Pray that you will have the chance too next time.
