We have a swimming pool, hot tub and huge swingset/play area in our yard. So everyday we go outside and swim. Taking them away from the house to a park, we do this about once a month. I love to take them to the lake. We try to go at least once a week. Amusement parks are once a year.

Unfortuately since moving to the U.S from Canada we dont take them out nearly enough...Back in Canada we used to do all sorts of things but right after moving here my kids dad killed himself which ended up putting a serious strain on our finacial situation and things just havent been the same since ya know....I do take them to Ohio when I get the chance to visit family which is nice and they love that and I let them have friends over all the time but we havent really done anyhting "fun" in ages...We used to go to the Erie Fair every yr but for the past two we've just not been able to afford it unfortunately..We also used to go to Jamaica every winter too but havent since we got married in 2002 (again because of money)....it sucks really

Hi, well my kids are grown up now, but not that big either, but yes, they all need their share of outing so often, and its only on weekends that we tend to go out for any kind of outings, when we are a little free too and dont have work on our mind. I feel when we do take our kids out, it should not be like any kind of burden that we are facing and a compulsion to take them out. We should be free and able to enjoy going out and being present with them, fully. Or else the sole purpose of being together is lost. We do go to these places, and other wise to any other place too, together a much as we can, making thier trips educational as well as fun trips, and they are refreshed for the next week then.
