I recently got invited to join a new website called Yuwie. The person that invited me said alot of Mylotters were leaving here to go there...I wondered if thats true? I signed up for an account there, took a look around and then deleted the account. It didn't impress me much. To be honest, it looked more like an online dating site. What do you think, are Mylotter's leaving here to go there?

I joined Yuwie recently and it was a bit mind boggling and I thought about quitting, but after getting help from mylot members there it turned out quite easy and I am really enjoying it now.
It is alot more personal than here, but you get to meet some very special people there. It definately is not an online dating site!!LOL
I did find it a bit overwhelming to see everyones photos of themselves as their avatars, but you don't have to, just like here.
If you ever feel like giving it another go you can PM me and I will be willing to help out.
I will never leave mylot though, as I have been here for ages now and love it.

I signed up for an account there, too. But, I still like mylot better, so I wouldn't give up mylot to go there. I don't dislike it, I just like mylot better. It comes in handy as a second site. Take care.

I signed up for it to check it out but I would never leave my lot for it. I'm not too sure if I even like it yet. I didnt get the link from my lot though it was in one of my paid email sites.

i guess it's a sister website of myspace. sort of like that. i took a look at it and it's like an online community website like myspace or friendster..
it's so different from mylot so why exchange mylot to yuwie? =) hey it's more fun in here. it's all in one. aside from making friends, you can earn and get to interact freely towards others thoughts. what can be more fun than that? =)

It kind of struck me as being alot like MySpace too. I've never been to Friendster but I know ppl on MySpace that think it is wonderful. I really don't care for it either. I think MyLot is alot of fun and plan to be here for quite awhile.

I wouldn't really know about MyLot members leaving to go to a different site, but have looked at Yuwie and don't really think I'll be becoming part of that social network. It does seem to be a dating site, it may be a really good social network to be part of, but it's just not for me.

I have never heard of the site and from what I read I most likely would not like it there...I don't like social networking when it is very personal...I like mylot just fine even though I don't spend a lot of time here.

Hello twoey68,
It is normal. Whenever we hear something new, we will see the 'commotion' about the supposed good site. But after awhile, when people tend to get used to it, it will slowly become a bit boring place to hang around. I am still here and I love this wonderful site. It is hard for me to leave all my friends here. I have been invited to join yuwie too, but I haven't make any decision. I will check it and see how. But I won't leave My Lot. It is still a good place to get more new online friends *smiles*

I was invited to join, checked it out and said...'No thanks' to the Mylot member that referred me. My hubby was in my office when I was checking it out and he said the Beta format they are using is still in the developmental stage. I also resented the fact that they said they are the first site to pay members for participation...hello...what do they think Mylot does? Misrepresentation always makes my red alert c%@#p detector spin in wild warning signals!!!!!
It is rather bewildering to me why people keep leaving a good thing to chase after something else. Mylotters put time and energy into developing our sites, filling out profiles, adding pictures, choosing a slogan, Avatar and name. Then the effort it requires to develop a reputation and create an on-line community of friends also requires commitment and responsibility. Why on earth would anyone want to flip/flop around to other sites after doing all that? From my perspectives I am a happy, camper Mylotter. My first payout was transferred to my PayPal account..and that is another nice little perk for being here.
More important than the money for me...is how much I appreciate the people I have come to know in just a couple of months. I think those of us who love Mylot are tired of hearing about all these other get rich quick schemes. How about making a decision to continue building a good reputation here...and stay put?

Thank you...I agree. I think MyLot is a fun site with a wide range of topics. I thought when I first heard of this other site that it was in the same field as MyLot but as near as I can tell it isn't. I am planning to just stay put and work on making my part of MyLot and the community in general a nice place to be.

LOL..I had a look and would not have wasted my time even signing up...I like it here and wouldnt go somewhere else..I presume that a lot of people are going there with the amount of discussions about it and referral links...LOL..I would never sign up under any of those anyway...Just wait a few weeks or months..they probably will all be back here..Not that I care either way..

There was a discussion about this very site just a few days ago, twoey. I'm sure that if you scroll through the recent discussions you will find it. Having said that, I must add that anyone who wants to leave myLot for this "supposedly" better site should follow their mind. They are guilty of spamming by continuing to mention this site in open discussions, though. As for me, I will stick with myLot because I value the friends I have found here-and the discussions can be anything but boring.

I'm apologize for a second discussion...I will have to keep in mind to do a search before I post. I certainly had no intention of spamming or promoting the other site...was simply wondering about other ppl's outlook on it. I see alot of ppl posting invites to it...and the way hubby explained it...the main way you make money is by getting ppl to join it by your referral.
I am sticking with MyLot...I really like the ppl I am meeting and love the topics...and as you said they are anything but boring.
