Your boat went down in the middle of the ocean. What do you wish you had with u?

I don't know about anyone else but the thought of this happening to me terrifies me! I would probably panic and die from a heart attack within fifteen minutes! Whether it's the sharks who would attack me or my physical needs I would be scared to death...literally!
If I were in this situation I would wish I had a flare gun with lots of flares so I could at least let it be known that I was there.
Besides all the obvious things like water and a life raft or preserver what one thing would you wish you had with you?

I guess if I went down on a boat I'd wish that I'd have a volleyball with me. That way I could have Wilson with me. (Have you seen Cast Away? that was a joke)
Um... I'd hope I'd have a dolphin whistle. To call dolphins over to me so I could hold on and they could swim me over to the closest shore!

Thanks you two I needed a good laugh! Please, no dolphin eating! I would want Wilson with me also...at least he would keep me afloat! Yes, I've cast away and love it!

How about one of those propeller things you used to see in movies that can take you up, up, and away, ctry? That would be the perfect time to have one of those. I can't swim, so I would have to have something that would work really fast.

Not dumb at all. Wilson is from a Tom Hanks movie, Castaway. He was on a FedEx plane when it crashed and a Wilson volleyball was one of the packages that went ashore to a deserted island with him. He made a face on it. He talked to it all the time. It was his only companion on this island, for 4 years. Great, great movie. You should see it.
BTW, Rita Wilson is Tom Hanks' wife, so he requested that a Wilson volleyball be used over another brand. I think that was kinda cool.

Maybe this'll sound twisted but I'd rather drown or be eaten by the sharks. Because quite frankly, the only thing I could take to survive is my medicine, and without it my intestines would quit working properly... So, yeah, and yuck, it'd be a horrible way to die alone on an island without my medicine.

Okay, neva mind the cell phone. Just the shark repellent. I am a good swimmer and would probably be even faster if trying to avoid being eaten by sharks! Of course, I would have to stop to spray?? (how the heck does a person even use shark repellent??) Hmmm...going to do a search on shark repellent now :P

Egads! Shark repellent isn't something that would probably even be on my sinking boat!! It definitely is not a spray, such as OFF!! for bugs. LOL
So, now I am 0 for 2. Although, I think I would still like my cell phone. I think I could find a way to keep it dry for awhile. And, it has GPS. Hopefully, someone and NOT something would find me first.

I can see a lot of problems with this - first, the water would be really cold and probably fairly turbulent. I'd probably die of hypothermia if I didn't have a life raft.
I'll go for the smart-aleck answer - I'd like an airplane, please.

No problem, if I had with me a well-equipped divers suite and other materials whcih divers use. :)
