What is the last thing you think about before going to sleep at night?

I'm usually watching tv and trying not to think about any of the negative events of the day but when they start creeping into my mind I try to think about my kids and wonder if they had a good day and are doing ok if I haven't heard from them. If I have a problem falling asleep I'll start making plans in my head for the next day.
What is the last thing you think about before you fall asleep at the end of the day? Do your thoughts sometimes keep you awake? Do you try to get things taken care of before bedtime so you won't have to think about them?

I have to clear my mind once I lay down and picture a blank chalk board. It's silly but I do this until I fall asleep to keep my mind from wondering and causing me a night of insomnia.

I can never make my mind a blank. Something always slips through.

i am thinking the posts that i have placed in mylot as well as what discussion should i place tomorrow. i also think about my girlfriend as well what i have achieved so far in life. usually i reflect of what i am doing so far to improve my life. to discern the errors and make sure that i wont repeat it again.......i also pray a lot before i go to sleep. it is the time in which i give my responds to God in the form of prayer just like what i am doing here in mylot giving my response...gud day to u here in mylot

Thinking about new discussions is usually one of the things that keeps me awake. I've started keeping paper and pen handy when I go to bed. Not too addicted am I?

i usually have about10,000 thoughts running thru my head, but then i try to focus on a mantra of 5 letter words that i have such as sleep, night, and spell them out...by focusing on these words, my brain stops spinning and i can fall asleep easier.

I actually take medication just for this reason but it doesn't seem to work at night. I also use mantra when I finally need to put an end to all of those thoughts and it usually helps to a point.

I always utter a prayer before going to sleep everyday. I sometimes think about what i've read or heard during the day, when it's bad events it worries me a lot, and my imaginations will just keep me awake...thinking of what if it'll happen to...what if...lots of what ifs..
Every night before going to sleep my family especially my baby are the last ones I think of. *smiles* take care..
cheers! :D

Very interesting, indeed! I guess the most beautiful thing about sleeping is to be able to dream. For me, when I am very exhausted, dreams automatically appear. So to be able to do what one wants whether a past event or a future one can be performed in a dream. This may sound ridiculous but it is possible. In fact, you will enjoy it if you can take control of your dreams. I guess dreams are a form of escapism and dreams somewhat set the mood for the next day.
Good day!...:)

Sometimes my thoughts keep me awake. I think about things I need to do, things I am worried about, and random things that happened that day.
Other nights I just sort of daydream until I fall asleep.

I think about a lot of things. What am I going to do tomorrow? I hate being single. I wish that cat would quit stepping on my throat. The youngins are gonna' wake me up too early....

I usually watch tv to fall asleep so usually, I don't think anything. If I'm upset, I'll get a bunch of negative thoughts and won't be able to sleep at all. It's so hard for me to dismiss a bunch of negative thoughts. If it's just one, it's easy then.

My last thoughts before I fall asleep at night are the prayers that I offer up for my loved ones and friends. This is the time that I settle my mind about worries and cares of the day. I just give it all to God. If I'm not asleep by the time I finish my prayers, I usually have the radio on tuned to my favorite talk show. It is very low, and the host's voice is so soothing that I am usually asleep in a few minutes.

Before i sleep at night..... i think of GOD. That GOD would guide me to find the right person for me. To love me for what i am. So i could help my daughter and the 3 grandkids. I keep on wishing and praying that before i get lost in this earth, i could give them happiness to enjpoy life is. I'd rather love to sacrifice only for their sake. I am very happy to see them happy too. SInce 2003 i started to chat, i have not met a guy i dream about. Wish that dream could be granted by the LORD JESUS CHRIST. Ther's nothig impossible on earth as long as i keep my hopes, sincerity and Love. Could be there a possibility for me to find the right person at my age?

I always kiss my son and then crawl into bed, I think of all the day's events and what I need to do tomorrow. I set my cell phone to wake me up in the morning and then fall asleep. I guess the last thing I think about is my husband. We are apart right now as he gets ready to deploy so I allways send him a cell message goodnight.

The last thing before going off to sleep which i never seem to forget is have I brushed my teeth or not...lol
However, the very last thing i like doing is praying to GOD for the goodwill of everyone, especially my loved ones :) I beg for forgiveness for all the wrong deeds I did each day, and wish to have a better tomorrow than yesterday :)
I would advise all of you to pray before sleeping, it is really stress relieving and u'll have a good sleep too :)
CHEERS!

My thoughts are always keeping me awake. I watch tv before I fall asleep also, trying to take my mind off of other things. I usually will think about what I have to do the next day. If I don't take care of things before I go to bed, those things are on my mind also.

I usually go to sleep watching a movie so I try my best to clear my head. I don't always sleep well. I have restless sleep. I sometimes can't even go to sleep. blah blah. So yeah I just try to clear my head and fall asleep watching a movie. I own so many movies yet I have a hard time finding movies I want to sleep too. You know I don't want to sleep watching a horror movie! but I've watched the same kids stuff so many times! I usually switch up the movie every couple of days. Right now I've been watching 40-year-old Virgin, so I guess that's what I go to sleep thinking about.

Hi, i think i am rather lucky as i sleep instantly, provided i am sleepy. There are times when we arent actually sleepy and we try and force ourself to sleep, landing in more thoughts creeping into our minds and disturbing us. In such cases , its better to either watch tv or read a book for a while, till you start feeling sleepy, and you will get a good sleep, this has happened to me , so i can share this with you too. And if you have over slept in the afternoon, its another reasonf or no sleep at night. Yes, at times thoughts do creep in, but i remember and say my small prayers, and try to be one to one with Him, seeking his advice and trying to find solutions to my problems, and that gradually clears my mind and helps me drift into a comfortable slumber. But its very rare, that i have a disturbed sleep.I feel when we are not sleepy, we should not force our eyes shut, as that leads to thoughts, so if you have to think, do so alertly with open eyes, as that will not give you sleepless nights.
