I recently applied for an on line writing job and was scammed out of $12 for some bogus training materials that the person had sent me. Instead of receiving a legitimate job offer, I received a step-by-step guide on how to do the same thing that was done to me. I was taught how to post on line ads that would convice people to send them a small amount of money in hopes to receive a part time writing gig. I was very disappointed by all this and it made me wonder, have any of you been scammed?? If so, how was it a scam and where did it occur???? Please share!

at least you got something out of it I spent $70 on a type at home site and could not even receive any offers for a job without spending more of my hard earned money. I even hired a lawyer and lost the case because they made no claims that you will make money. It sickens me every time I think about it.

I used to join an online writing blog job that sent me a CD thinking that I could make extra money. Instead, I had been scammed by that company and had $600 taken out of my bank account. My account was left zero dollars every time I tried to deposit my one hundred dollars. I had to close my account immediately, and unsubscribed that job. Now, I don't have a bank account and no job, but I'm going back to school. I will never want to get involved with that type of scam again.

I have had people try to scam me, but because I've heard of so many people being scammed, I avoid anything that asks me to send money. I guess I'm lucky in that I'm so slow to find out about anything, something has to have been around for years before I hear about it, and by that time, someone has posted a warning.

I have been scammed far too many times to count. Most of the things you see on the internet turn out to be scams. You would think I would have learned after the first couple times. But no I keep having faith that I will find a good one that is real.

I have received many emailed proposals for job vacancies, seminars, organizations etc. mostly from United Kingdom and Nigeria. I have read scams regarding this so I did not respond to them. I just reported it as spam and deleted it immediately. If this email senders coming from Nigeria wanted to help people it should be their countrymen first, knowing their economic status, but they just want to fool out people who are easily convinced by their sweet and full of promises disguises.

yeah, i think almost everyone has been scammed. i did this thing where you pay $20 and they'll give you links to supposedly private hard to find paid survey and free stuff sites. yeah...most of the links were invalid and everything else they had i was already a part of and they were on a point system or giveaway thing. My husband did another one where he paid and they set up a small website with basically nothing on it and just signed us up for a bunch of affiliate programs. then they call offering us more traffic to the site if we pay them $100 more...stupid. well, you live and learn. and because of that i would never fall for another scam and i would never rip anyone off since i started an online business as well.
