I know that it is possible for a women to get pregnant after having her tubes tied, but can she actually carry it and give birth?
My friend mentioned the other day that they know someone who had their tubes tied, they ended up getting pregnant and carried the child full term and gave birth.
that is the first time I heard that.
My mother became pregnant after having her tubes tied but lost the baby and almost died... I didn't think it was possible..

If pregnancy occurs after a tubal ligation it can be an eptopic pregnancy.
On an average 1 in 250 women will become pregnant after a tubal ligation.
Out of 10,685 women
89.2% were interveiwed one year after tubal ligation
57.7% were interveiwed 14 years after tuabal ligation
143 women had pregnancies classified as true sterlization failures.. ( a failure rate of 1.4 to 1.85 percent)
Of the 143 pregnancies classifed as true failures
21 ended in spontaneous abortion
26 ended in induced abortion
41 in delivery
47 in eptopic pregnancy
So the answer is YES you can get pregnant and give birth to a child after tubal ligation but the odds are not very high.
I have more information on this topic if your interested send me a message!

I'm so sorry to hear that. That's a difficult thing to deal with. I can't imagine the fear that must encompass a woman when she goes through the reversal procedure, and then worries about carrying the child to full term. But in this case, I do know it is possible. The aunt of one of my friends had been married and divorced, with 2 children. Well she married again, and her husband was slightly younger. He wanted children as well, so she had the reversal and carried the baby boy to full term.
