Nothing and no one can predict the future. In the words of Clarie Benett from "Heroes"-"The future is not written in stone." Which means that even if you think you know what is coming, you might be wrong. If these psychics really could have accurate predictions of the future, why didn't anyone stop 9/11? Answer me that? Yes, you can predict it, but can you stop it or can you change it? How do you know if it is real? I lost my brother nearly one year ago. Where was the psychic prediction for that?

Astrology is used mostly for forecasting future things (I guess) but in all actuality is is meant as more of a science of sychronicity.. the connectedness of all things.. and can reveal strengths and weaknesses in one's personality.. and can point out trends.. But that doesn't get as much attention or business as claiming it foretells the future!
-I was originally attracted to astrology and still am, because if there's a work of art, or a clock.. there's a clockmaker.. thus there is hope that life is not merely an anomaly (which I've never believed) but has great purpose. And the more in awe we are of the perfectly balanced massive universe and the richness of life (presently influenced by human will) and such a great work of art and clock/map of life.. the more we realize the deity is massively perfect, thus the 'end' result of all this (life and human history) can only be not only good, but the best outcome possible.
- Mostly it shows there is great purpose to life..

i agree that ruling planet gives correct indications but ruling planets vary according to ur sign. like my sun sign is libra=ruling planet is venus, and sun sign is aquarius and the ruling planet is saturn so see the effect will be different and this is what i was talking about.

I'm pretty sure the ruling planet of aquarius is now uranus. But it is all complicated. If i followed a day by day transit of course the moon would be very important. But i am a capricorn with saturn iin Capricorn so if i actually took the time to follow through using astrology in my own life every day, i would pay a lot of attention to saturn.
and uranus is at the top of my chart and when i look back, it has a lot of effect on me.
by the way, both of my capricorn friends and I had major miseries three weeks ago. We aall just broke down in tears for days for no reason. So I assume something hit saturn and made us all miserable. It was really bad for me as is happened at work and i am in customer service and cannot be walking around the laundromat crying for hours!

...generally I find the outer, slower moving planets signify bigger, deeper and longer lasting changes. And the inner planets and sun and moon signify things of the everyday life and goings on, and work, romance, etc.. I think you are right about the moon influencing people more.. and it's a perfect example of the pull or energies of all the forces symbolized by the sun and planets also.. The moon will often chime the time of things.. Or that is to say, Jupiter for instance may show a fortunate streak or an opportunity, but the moon can signify just when that influence is strongest or most felt..
- Very spiritual people are more influenced by the further away, slow moving planets (slow through the zodiac anyway) - and not so much by the everyday planets.. But many are more influenced by the sun, moon, mercury, venus and mars.. Though Jupiter and Saturn influence all too.. one being blessing and opportunity, the other being limitations and delay, possibly obstacles and obstruction.. yet you need saturn to build anything.. It's like gravity, ya need it.. tho one may not always like it. Uranus is inspiration and insight, eccentricity.. neptune is mysteries and mysticism.. or substance abuse, etc! Pluto is revolution, but also healing (the tiny healing star, which is still a planet by the way!)
- well, I've babbled enough!:)
