Does FireFox know how to spell?

Okay this chat may back fire on me where my spelling skills are concerned. Does anyone use Firefox? I like it! I especially like the fact that as I type it underlines the words that are spelled wrong. I click the underlined word and it has options there for me to choose from. I hopefully will pick the right word! Of course I will. My problem is however that sometimes I question whether or not Firefox knows how to spell. Sometimes I get words that I think should be one word but Firefox has the words split like it is two words or just a gap from the main word to the last letter like the word learnt (learn t). Sometimes I have a red line under my word indicating my word is misspelled and when I click for the right word my word is not even a choice and no word of choice seems to fit. Is it me or is it Firefox?

I use firefox before and i don't use these days that much as it cannot open some sites. Anyway spelling check feature is awsome as its rare to make spelling mistakes specially while writing special documents. It will be error free and i also enjoyed the video download feature in the firefox. We can download those videos from youtubes and save it in our hard disk.

I have firefox at work and I love it. Usually the spellings are right. The only thing I have noticed is if the word is a slang word it may not be in their dictionary. And some words may be spelled correctly but they just aren't in the dictionary. But for the most part it has all the words and the spell check is great.

I find in most cases, that the Firefox speller checker works correctly. However there are some words, especially words still spelled in the foreign manner such as fiance that are not in Firefox because it is a text based editor and does not show the small slant that should be over the e at the end of fiance.

I use Firefox most of the time and find the spell checker is a great tool! The one thing I do have to remember though, is to change the dictionary to my language (English/Australia).
In saying that.....
When I write messages here on MyLot I do have a little giggle every now and then, as we spell things differently and when I am positive I have spelt it correctly and the red line appears under the word, it takes a few moments to realise I have the incorrect language selected!
A lot of our words ending or using -our- and -tre-
end in -or- and -ter- for you.
ie: AUS v USA
colour v color
favourite v favorite
centre v center
metre v meter
and others:
airplane v aeroplane
cheque v check
licence v license
offence v offense
vocalise v vocalize
pyjama v pajama
