Hi Soasnot,
Well, good question, the only problem is - it is UN-ACHIEVABLE - working communism I mean. Why did the East Block fall? The problem is that you cannot regulate the power, and especially so, the power of the forces behind the curtains, the once that created the comminusm to begin with, and so on, and so on :)

i think the real reason that it has been unachievable is because of religion, and other non-communist countries.
religion does not like the competition and people in other countries are ultimately afraid of loosing power and giving it to one group of elites..
the only problem i have with communism is the elites stay elites.. like i have stated in my response to the first response, not everyone should be able to vote.
now, about the man behind the curtain.. those men are more predominant in a democratic structure like the United States then a Communist one, because in a communist society, there is no need for secrets as everyone already knows they have absolute power.. but in a democratic one, your not allowed to have absolute power, so you need to be behind the curtain to control your puppets... like bush.
take a look at my first response if you want to know more.

i take it you are from russia? or where?
the diffrence between communistic power and capitalistic power is that, you know who has the power in a communist government but, in a capitalistic government, nobody knows who is in power.. the people you vote on are just puppets..
the people in charge are the people in charge of the banks and federal reserve, which is, indeed, the rockerfeller family and their associates..
"this bill is legal tendar" - basically means, "this money is worthless to you"
we are slaves in both types of governments, but, in a communistic government, we are slaves for the greater good... not for some guys greater good.

Hi again,
May I ask if you have lived in a communist country yourself? You see, I was born in such a country, and can tell you that they, the rullers, have as many secrets, as in any other type of politic regime country that exists on Earth.
Further more, belief, and church did not have anything to say, were meaningless there, as the only belief in communist countries is atheism, and churches should have been grateful to have the right to even exist there... In countries like Russia, it was forbidden to go to churches, and only old woman and man went there to, they had nothing to be afraid of, right, they wouldn't have lost their job, or sent out of the city for punishment.
As for the man behind the curtains, I am talking about them who invented communism and fascism in the first place. There are many books to read in regards, but there is something in regards in this one also: "They cast no shadows" by Bryan Desborough

Look at every country where communism has been instituted, period. Oppression, murder, persecution, starvation, and the destruction of government and country.... Overall, its arguably the most destructive single idea ever.

Lets not just jump on Christianity, every religion has had a dark history.
And there is plenty of tolerant and kind ideals and instructions in the Bible as well, not to mention the good it has caused throughout the world over time.
And yes, if the same ideology is the cause of the same awful results, meaning the ideal has led to the same end because of its principles, 100% of the time, there is obviously a cause/effect relationship.

nono, see, the diffrence between them is that you CAN blame christianity because it is in the bible.. but books like "the communist manifesto" say nothing about killing and starving.. it was the greed of the rulers vs the rules of the bible.
so, what i am saying is that you cannot blame the ideology in that case.

that is true.. every time communism takes a stand it seems to go corrupt.. is man really that evil? plus, its not like other countries are helping..
however, if we go back to animal farm, i forgot one of the pigs was a "good communist" if you remember.. he created the idea of the windmill so that the people could do less work

Its the people already in charge that make the rules & regulate the power - and they are going to do their best to STAY in power.
Early Christianity tried to set up little communities that were very much like true communism & even they failed. Some people aways wanted to hold back privete property or wanted more power.
The only way communism would work is if there were a benign dictator over the country & that benign dictator better not die.
The best ruler is a good organizer who doesn't want any power.

but as you have stated, the church tried it.. and if they tried it.. the benign dictator must have been "god".. so if god cant do it... lol..

How do you propose to regulate power and say that you are communist?Who will be the one to determine who gets what.If you have the ability to vote on who gets the power ,then that's no longer a communist state.Do you agree that a person that is lazy versus a person that is educated and innovative should be compensated equally?I think that you should take a closer look at the world around you my friend and compare various government types with the prosperity of it's people. Then you can decide for yourself what is wrong with communism.

throughout history, we can see that democracy is not the answer... in a country where more people care about who is the best singer than who will control the state, in a country where paris hilton gets more attention than public healthcare, in a country where flashy lights are more intriguing than political debates...
socrates and jesus have been killed because of democracy.
and whose to say that capitalism does not give people the ultimate power? for over 60 years the ROCKERFELLERS have been in control of the federal reserve and the central bank of america. democracy is a tool used by these people to choose between this puppet and that one.. if we are gonna hand supreme power to these people for 60 years, why not just give the power to someone else every 4 years, and ofcourse there is no other way in dealing power unless we choose, but we cannot just let anyone choose for people can be manipulated and awed.. only the elites must have the power to choose. They are given power because they are the ones that have been given the power to choose... who chooses the choosers? the ones who are educated.
people are greedy, everyone wants more than they can handle.
if we are to grow, we need to take power away from these people and give it to something worth growing on, human expansion.. because the world can only sustain us for so long.
im not saying that communism is the supreme answer, but i am saying it is much better than the type of democratic government we have now, one in which POLITICAL MAP MAKERS have more influence on who wins and looses than the candidates do, one in which the ones with the money always win, one in which voting doesn't even matter.

Man is the problem!!! The ideology of communism is all good and well, but introduce man to this and it will never happen. It is just not in our genes to all be equal. In nature it is survival of the fittest and sad to say this is so true within our own human race.
I believe in democracy and I uphold John Dewey as a main man in his ideologies of what a democracy stands for, but alas, this will never be achieved.
Everyone should be seen as equal and play a role within their community and to look after those who may be less fortunate. However, greed will always take over, whether communist or not. This has been our downfall in recent years and while the rich get richer, the poor get poorer and no one wants to be within a community anymore, it has become a dog eat dog world.
This can be seen within the countries that have ended communist rule. The poor have been left behind while the rich make the money.
If regulation of power comes into it, then there has to be a big chief, so thats communism up in smoke straightaway!!

I theory communism sounds great. But people are greedy buggers and need to have power over other people and cannot follow the theory. If communism were to work, then we have to follow the theory to a T and not let anyone get out of hand, but with human nature someone alsays wants to be on the top or be the leader and therefore communism will not work.
