This may sound like an odd question but it has alot to do with metabolism, good for you food and proper balancing of hormones PLUS nutrition . . . What is your blood type ? and then read "Eating According to Your Blood Type" by Peter D'Abo, a Phd. specializing in the endocrine, parasympathetic and sympathetic nervous system and gastrointestinal system all requiring proper functioning of assimilation and elimination (eating and getting rid of waste).

I was just thinking about this earlier. Its horrible, and you would think when you get older its easier, but its worse. Anyway my doctor suggested Primrose she said it helps, I have not tried it yet so I am not sure.

cold temperature may increase the contraction of the uterine wall, hence the cramps.
This is what I found out. Do not drink cold beverages while menstruating as cold temperature may increase the contraction of the uterine wall, hence the cramps.
You should eat more to compensate the blood loss during menses. Although women do not exactly fall to the level of anemic during menstruation, it helps to restore especially the level of iron in the body. Eat more green-leafy vegetables and liver.
