There's an old song that includes a line about getting caught in the rain. But, in reality, I don't know anyone who actually enjoys the experience! Once while we were moving from one state to another, we got caught in a really bad rain/lightening storm while we were in our car. The rain was coming down so hard on the road, that we had to pull to the side until it passed. It was a nightmare sitting in that hot car, no air conditioning, just watching the scariest rain storm in history. And, yesterday it happened to us again. My spouse had gone outside to roll up his truck windows when it started pouring rain. Instead of coming back inside he sat in the truck for thirty minutes, until it was over. I think he just wanted an excuse to sit outside by himself for awhile!
Have you ever been caught in the rain while walking outdoors or driving in your car? What did you do? Have you ever been in such a bad rain storm that you had to pull over to the side of the road until it passed?

I've been caught in the rain many times.
I clearly remember times having to stand at the bus stop in the pouring rain.
But a happy, fun time I remember in the rain was when I was drunk off my butt, me and my friend had a huge mud wrestling fight out in the yard.
It was quite fun actually, because the rain helped wash us off!
Good post, have a nice day.

What an interesting and fun story! And, since it was the front yard, you didn't have to walk far with mud on you to get back home. Kudos for you!

I was driving once when a blinding rain started. I pulled over in a farm driveway until it would pass by. As I watched, several cars went by looking like they never even slowed down. I don't know how they kept on the road. I'm glad I just didn't slow down on the road or they would have run into the back of me.
The worst place I have gotten rained on is on a golf course. It was clear when we started. Then some clouds built quickly. Before we could get into the club house, a downpour started. We were completely soaked. That sure cooled us off that day.

Yes to both- I actually find it refreshing- I have had to pull over a few times because I could not see 1 foot in front of me- Having the rain pour on the car- while you are on the side of the road- with your 4-way flashers on is relaxing- It makes you stop and just be amazed- It’s like refreshing the world! I love it- I also love to play in the rain- Of course not a heavy downpour- Many times I’ve had to take off my shoes and run in the rain to get into work- I love it!

My husband and I got caught in the rain once. At first, he's very mad but could not blame anyone for it. When I started laughing, he started to laugh himself out as well without any reason whatsoever. Then he started holding my hand and we started to walk through the rain. I think that's the most romantic thing that we ever did thanks to the rain.

Hi,
I have been caught in the rain both when walking and driving..
I remember once when I was walking home with a friend it started raining really bad.. I had a black suade jacket on and a silk white shirt..
by the time I got home the black from my jacket had turned my shirt black really bad. the shirt was just completely ruined.
Also I remember having to pull the car over in the rain before.. sometimes it just gets so bad you cant see.
I had to pull over because I couldn't tell if there was a car in front of me or not so its better to pull over and take a break rather then chance getting into a accident.

This brought me to a very special memory with my friends way back in college..It was raining so hard, classes were suspended because of the storm but we were so excited of having a day off from work(we were student assistants)and from school as well,so instead of going home we went straight to the mall and decided to see a movie, when we reached the place,it was still raining hard and it's so windy, when we are about to enter at the main door,my friend slipped off and fall down 3 steps down..there are lots of people outside and we were so ashame..so ashme that none of us was able to help our friend.
We laugh so hard after the incident, and we weren't able to see a movie because we realized that there are lots of people outside because the mall was already closing due to storm.

Are you referring to the song "Escape"...
If you like pinacolas and getting caught in the rain, if your not into yoga and you have half a brain, if you like making love at midnight on the dunes of the cape, then your the lady I looked for, come with me and escape...
Yes I was caught in the rain several times, but the one time that comes to mind is when we drove our boat up to pick my mom up on a sunday afternoon. By the time we got to pick her up it was raining terrible, on the way back we ran out of gas real close to the gas pumps. A jet sky pulled us to the pumps we got gas and then it started lighting and we had to pull over. so stupid us pulled over by a bridge and it was lighting and everything. By the time we got back to the boat dock we were drenched and it was getting dark, these fisherman asked us if we had any luck and I said "Yeap, bad luck".
I'll never forget that trip.

Actually I was caught in the rain this week. We were camping and it was hot and dry when we left. It rained 3 of the 5 days we were there. You know I didn't know how much I took for granted warm dry clothes. I only had a sweatshirt and it was colder than 10 degrees c.

it was a mild rain and i was about to go home so i just continued walking with friends and we were all wet. we laughed and enjoyed the nature while people were looking at us. that was one of our unforgettable moment of friendship. after getting wet in the rain, we all had a cuppa in my crib and i must say it was really fun.

i have experienced it once, it was really memorable, our bus got stranded because there was a strong typhoon, and we were about to go to a field trip, i was 12 then and my classmates and me sort of played tricks with one another, that was the only time i really got to know how funny my classmates are, we passed the snack around, sang and even danced inside the bus cause we could not go out.
we had our lunch there and we told stories, laughed, and really had a great time
i mean thank heavens it was storming, cause i would cherish that experience forever. never thought i would be so happy because of a storm.
